Di Marzio

Although him & Boufhasi are certainly the best in the business. Neither are perfect and both get things wrong but I highly doubt they fabricate stories.
Never said Bouhafsi fabricates stories. RMC are the outlet he works for and they're very highly regarded. They were brilliant before Bouhafsi worked for them and will be after he's gone.

Di Marzio has been so pathetically wrong at times that I did question, if he just puts two and two together at times and comes up with 5.

"Andre Gomes to replace Pogba at Juve". Five minutes later he's apologising on Twitter for being wrong when Barca confirm Andre Gomes.

"Arsenal to bid 60m plus Giroud for Higuain"

Still waiting on Fabinho to arrive at United.

He's a good Journo mostly for serieA but I'd rather listen to Stone, Ducker etc regards United news.

How did City manage to get both Mendy and Silva from them?
Chelsea got bakayoko as well.

Yeah, are we supposed to believe we thought it'd be easier to get Dier from Spurs?

Monaco reportedly wanted €45m for Fabinho. Had we wanted him we'd have paid that no bother. It was claimed that Fabinho was one of the players they were ready to move on. To be honest Monaco seem to have let star players go relatively easily, if anything.

Just because some things collapse at the last minute doesn't mean Di Marzio fabricates stories. Nothing is certain in football until the end - both on and off the pitch, so you're being way too harsh here.

The English journos you mentioned are decent and well connected, but most of them didn't have a clue what was happening when we were pursuing Pogba, Darmian and Mkhitaryan, whereas Di Marzio was our main source of information and was pretty much spot on in all of those cases.

I think that City and Chelsea got in early and straight up paid what Monaco wanted. We were fecking around bidding for Dier and missed the boat on Fabinho.
Having said that, I am very happy with Matic and if we get Aurier then it works out better than if we got Fabinho imo.

Fabinho was clearly never Mourinho's first choice. Matic was, followed by Dier. We bid for Fabinho, which was reported by Di Marzio, but I think we didn't follow up because we likely got stronger encouragement from Matic who was our first choice.

First to Neymar. Legend. Eat that snidos.

I'm sure Juventus made a bid which was rejected & Man Utd were then favourites for Gomes. This was a month or so before he was signed up by Barca.
Don't know about the Arsenal deal.

There was certainly something in the Fabinho rumours, although It was also reported that Monaco were refusing to sell anyone after Baka

I'm pretty certain he gets fed stories by Juve at times, normally when he gets things wrong there's a Juve link in there.

There was definitely something in the Fabinho rumours, even Bouhafsi reported our interest. It just didn't happen for some reason.

The German media had the inside scoop on Mkhitaryan.

Pogba was a reported target by most of the respected Journos in Britain.

Di Marzio definitely had the inside scoop on the Darmian move.

I never get people's frustrations with journalists.

Their job is to report on information they acquire. You don't think agents and clubs mislead these guys to further their own agendas?

The nature of the transfer world is that its so quick, there's no time to work out if the information is true or not. As this might lead to someone else beating you to the scoop. This whole race to get info out quick is ridiculous in itself to be honest, but twitter has super charged it.

It's pretty clear now that you won't. Either give them the €50/55M, or include Martial in the deal, or forget about it
You seem ever so concerned about this considering you're a Madrid fan.
