Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

Pissed, I completed the strike without dying but didn't get the vanguard bounty... alphas. Was a good run ONO ;). My first run took a over an hour... kept wiping at the super tank...of course it was my teams fault

Really enjoying the beta although my team mates were annoying me as they were staying in the same area rather than going to the objecting meaning it was left to two of us to try and kill tens of enemies

Had you accepted the bounty beforehand?

I got mullied too many times there. I need better weapons and stuff.

You had more than 3 in your group or you were free roaming?

Yea got the bounty, maybe it means the whole fireteam? Didn't get any decent gear from that run?

Just made it to Level 7, have a nice weapon for when I hit Level 8. Probably make it to 8 then do the strike before the alpha ends. Very impressed with it though, way more fun that I originally imagined.

Yeah Bungie have the bones of a solid game here, can't wait to see what the full game will be like. I did the pre-order earlier so I'm all in...

You lucky PS4 owners. Think the beta is in July so look forward to having a go then. Could be GOTY from what I've seen and the impressions I get from people who have played it.

It's great. As soon as I started playing I could tell that it will be a game I will enjoy immensely. The gameplay is very good, I enjoy the weapons and the different abilities are super and look excellent too. The different modes you have to choose from look like they'll make the game consistently interesting. You'll always have something to do and you can jump in and out of the story at ease, so if you need a break there is still time to explore an area that you liked the look of when you were playing the story side of the game. I didn't get a chance to play PVP but it also sounds pretty promising. I had good experiences overall when interacting with other players though, and jumping in and out of different areas or other people doing so when you were playing was seamless. They also had a real time event mission when you are running around questing so anyone who's around the area can do it with you which was quite cool.

One question I have for those that have played it how does the world change depending on who you are playing with? For example if one player had defeated the enemies or completed the task how would the world appear if he was sharing the world with a player who hadn't?

Respawn an times were super quick. I assume a new player dropping in to an area id just vanquished would see it empty but it wouldn't matter as it would replenish easily and swiftly.

The enemies respawn, so say you do a run that ends by defeating a boss the game will mark off that you have defeated it but you can always go back and play with someone that hasn't done it yet or just re-do it because you want to. No idea if the environments change as you progress as the alpha is locked off to just a couple areas.

Reached level 7 earlier, damn this game is fun. I was playing exploration mode and some randoms were in my game, after doing a few missions and fighting off the bad guys we trigger a event, a large boss drops from the sky and proceeds to kick the shit out of us, it was pretty sweet. I killed the first boss in story mode and I wont be doing anymore now, I don't want to ruin it. From the 2-3 hours I've played you can already tell it's set up to be a great game, I'm looking forward to launch now.

Just got to the level cap at 8, can now use my badass weapons.

96 attack Primary
83 attack Secondary Sniper
96 attack Machine Gun

I'm coming on for a bit if anyone's on... I think I'm addicted.

Did the The Devil's Lair strike with some randoms, unfortunately one of them decided to just stand around instead of fighting for most of it so me and another fella did it ourselves which made it harder but satisfying.

Tons of fun though.

Just invited you, but realised the footies on in a bit... another time

Yeah tomorrow night I'll give the Alpha a farewell play if you are around.

Nice run afro, good fun even with the odd man out.

Goodbye Destiny Alpha :(

I'll be back Day 1 and I'm not even that much of a shooter fan.

How come dude? Have we got dates yet, you away?

Think I'm gonna skip it, will wait and see what last minute deals are to be had.

You know you can pre-order, get the code and cancel right? Or you skipping it for other reasons?
