Yeah, if the boomers aren't shooting you then tap them with a scout rifle. If you've got both boomers on you you can jump up from the bubble and fire at Crota, but since you can't hear when I call it you might just be better off chilling if we've got enough dps to get him down.

Didn't really need to fire anything in the end, but for the second lot of dps I always made sure to fire off a rocket just in case.
Well done with the bubble. My arse clenched a bit when I saw you'd put the bubble up before we'd even started shooting the swordbearer, but it worked out fine in the end.
i almost cocked it up when running to the ogre room and coming face to face with the gatekeeper.
Yeah sorry about that! I made sure to have it so that the Ward of Dawn was long lasting which helped.

Got trolled by RNGesus this week. Nothing of note from three Nightfalls. Ran three Crota NM and got Black Hammer on the first, got another on the second and then got No Land Beyond on the third and @freshibal got Sword Breaker.

Option to wear helmet in tower and item locking coming in an update soon. Happy with the latter as I've rarely took my shoot to loot weapon out in case I accidentally dismantle it.
I have it maxed out, so it has the yellow box around it and I always put it in the very top slot. I've not dismantled one yet.

Ha yeah, I haven't played destiny for a while now unfortunately I decided to take a break until the new DLC launches. I spent so frigging long (as you know) on that mission flying back and forth I just gave up. Turns out Necrochasm wasn't all that anyway, just wanted it for the collection.Still haven't got it?

Will be an announcement of release date at some point this month, which means it will be at some point next month, rumour's are the 19th i think.
Ah that's good news, I do miss Destiny just couldn't face grinding the same old missions. Will keep an eye out on it until then.

Not really sure how i feel about it honestly, mean we wait a long time for the next raid, but im glad there is more stuff to do overall. Only less than 30% of gamers have actually completed a raid so far.
Yeah i've seen those figures
They should be looking at why that is, not removing one of the key parts of the end game content and replacing it with a more casual option, not to mention potentially forcing people into pvp for it :/
Hopefully the planned new releases bring some better news, but I don't like how its been portrayed so far

It all depend's on what precisely the prison of elder's actually is.
I keep imagining a larger version of the "your enemies are moving against each other" event, hordes of enemies getting progressively stronger.
With chances of legendary and exotic loot would make me quite happy tbh.

Yeah a waves/horde mode would be a nice addition, but i just don't feel it should be at the expense of the raid
Feels like filler, hey guys look a new mode and hey you can spend the many months between now and ''comet' the actual dlc by leveling up all your old legendaries!!

Oh it shouldn't be at the expense of a raid, it should have been something put into the game from the very beginning.
Its probably better that they take their time and do it properly, we will only end up complaining about the quality of the raid....e.g. Crota.

No new raid is surprising to me. Was planning on coming back to this game considering I already brought the DLC but I'm not so sure now. I was really looking forward to a fallen raid, shame really. Typical Bungie though.
No raid and a requirement to PvP to max out your level?! That's ridiculous, imo.
I'm at the stage now where I have achieved pretty much everything in the game, barring a few weapons, and I have lasted longer than the majority of the other Caf' players. Not being into PvP, if all I am going to see in the new update is some new gear that won't even get me to the max level, I can see myself becoming bored pretty quickly, tbh. That's a shame, as it's a really enjoyable game at it's heart. Hopefully they'll pull something out of the bag over the coming weeks.
Have they given a release date yet, btw?

Is that official there will be no new raid in the HOV? Absolutely bonkers decision IMO.

Damn that's very disappointing. Unless the Reef patrol and queen story missions are very interesting It's taking the piss quite a lot really. I thought from those leaked "plans" that a raid was being planned with HOV. Certainly won't be spending long back on Destiny at that rate.
A quick scan of the forums seems to suggest that there's going to be some kind of 3-man hoarde mode. Whilst I will wait and see what that entails, the question is; Will the season pass buyers have to pay for the next expansion, which will contain the raid that was promissed in HoW?
