I can see their point about raid experience and wanting guys who have definitely finished VOG. But some people are really unlucky and have loads of experience, just no armour to show for it

oh nevermind, it doesnt have an alert like vog. Loading into it solo so must be free from the start

I have not been on today, I had to come into work and help out so I have the whole lot to take when I get back this evening.
Can I blast through the bullshit story nonsense in under an hour to unlock the strike?

Just did the regular 26 strike. That is going to be a right bitch to do as a nightfall, particularly one with arc and lightswitch on.
The PS Exclusive strike is available from the start, the other strike.... no you won't be able to get it in under an hour. You've got to do the three stories, then four different quests. The raid is available instantly.
Probably not in under an hour. You have to do three story missions which could be doable in an hour with a team. But after that you have to run about and do a few bounties as well. Probably take about 2-3 hours each character to unlock the strike

Might just have to chip away at the story nonsense during the week with some raiding then smash the strikes and nightfall at the weekend.
Good thing is there aren't any cut scenes on the stories. I'd advise you stock up on synthesis as I didn't and got the shit beaten out of me at the end of the first story mission.That the annoying sword boss. Those guys always suck one on one

They only rewarded blues and greens anyway apart from those with horse shoes stuck up their arse who would once in a blue moon land an exotic or legendary.

No shield but still tough. You'll need Thunderlord for the third story as there are some hallowed knights with arc shields that seem to be indestructible on it.

On another note, not sure I like the idea of our strike bullet sponge having a shield as well.
Yeah, it's ridiculous. If the gear in the tower has more relevant perks than the stuff I have, i'm going to get it. Does that make me a fake 30 in the eyes of 'The Elites'?
Doesnt matter just point them in the direction of your inventory and Grimore, it logs everything you have and everything you have done.
I have 26 raid clears, If I want to take my sexy ass on a trip to the underworld in bright pink vendor gear then no neck beard ranting is going to stop me girlfriend.

In that scenario surely you can put on your gear that didnt have as nice perks, and show you have the gear from the raid
The real problem is some people are really unlucky and ran the hard raid 20 times on different characters and dont have the gear they need

You can pick them up anywhere though, I wish there was a setting to auto shard the sodding things.
