Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

For the nightfall I get a legendary engram which turns into shards, back to dragon age for another week then :lol:

Though in all fairness I joined ducklegs group when they had phogoth down to half and I spent half the time dead.
 
So myself and three mates decided to try the normal raid on Sunday evening. We only wanted to get past the first bit and open the first chest... 60 minutes later we had to accept it wasn't happening.

How many pairs of fecking praetorians are allowed to spawn? FFS

Three level 29s and a 28 and we were struggling to keep more than two plates at any given moment.
 
So close... I'm sure we'll do better tomorrow when we're approaching it fresh.

In terms of loot I only got shards, energy and Titan legs which I didn't have (got my Titan to 30 with the legs and arms from IB so will be leveling up the legs before tomorrow).

:lol: Yeah it isn't easy even with four unless you've got good weapons.
 
Bungie! :mad: Unbelievable that they haven't managed to fix all the bugs from the Atheon fight.
Loot was poor also (if you don't count the Red Death from the chest :D).

I'm sure I'll get the helmet and the Mythoclast tomorrow though.

Yeah, that was annoying, we had him twice but it bugged out on us. I died inside the shield once, still don't understand what happened. We'll finish it off tomorrow though, no worries.

I'm far from an expert, as this was the first time I'd ever needed to, but I found it quite effective to farm the three hive majors on cosmodrome patrol, using black wax idols to boost it. Managed to collect 10k in about half an hour, maybe? Also read that its good to do the exclusion zone mission with resupply code boost, clear out all but one enemy in those initial waves, then die and repeat.

Funnily enough I did do the cosmodrome at first, but I felt they were spawning a little too slow and I was only getting 25 glimmer per kill even with the idol boost. I eventually ended up patrolling Mars and killing the minotaur / goblins / harpies that spawn pretty quickly with yellow shields in the third area. That seemed to earn me quite a bit of glimmer as there is plenty of enemies around, but I just ran out of time to do it all. Cheers for the advice though.
 
Soooo... it seems like Destiny has legs. A good few games have come out since and we're still (some intermittently) playing it. DLC should stoke the fire soon too, so lets see if we are still playing it by Feb...

Anyone about that wants to do the nightfall at all. Need to do it on my alt.

Then would like to do the normal raid if possible.
 
Guess not. Going to start dragon age then. If anyone wants to do the nightfall or normal raid let me know and I'll switch across

I think my Warlock is cursed. Completed the raid now three times with it, and haven't had a single piece of armour drop.

My titan has the same curse. Done it 6 or 7 times now and no armour. Perhaps the game realises that once I get her to level 30, my playing time will drop considerably.
 
I've been pretty fortunate. Got full Warlock set including helm, got everything for Hunter apart from helm and got chest and legs for Titan, but the IB gauntlets bring it up to 30.
 
If anybody can Come and help with the nightfall would be appreciated
