Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

Sorry I had to leave you guys like that I've had a bit of a family emergency.

Cheers guys, my mum was out for a friends birthday in London and somehow fell over and wacked her head on the floor. Looks like she's ok though just a bit of bruising. Bloody scary getting a call from the ambulance like that :(

Jesus, I bet. Glad to hear she's okay though.

@Damien sorry I didn't respond yesterday, was afk. :nervous:

 No problem, I thought you might be as you were in orbit for ages

You've done all the bounties for today? The Nexus, strike without dying and so on? Need the patrol missions on the Cosmodrome as well, are you done with those?

Yeah, I done the patrol one. Might do the Nexus strike next.

Well done, thats a nice score :)
Did you get your invective in the end then?
You seem to be enjoying the crucible a bit more since IB started.

I've been playing Dragon Age since it was released so still need to get on to finish leveling my IB rep.
Not going to go up to 5, can barely be arsed finishing off 4.

Unfortunately not. Invective bounty is on 30 Warlock, I've been doing IB on my Titan. I definitely feel like I'm getting better and enjoying it more (though still have awful games a lot of the time). Will give it a couple of weeks then will attempt to finally get the invective

Talking of bounties, about a week after i cleared out all those rare fusion rifles?

Pocket infinity bounty.

Bastards.

Is there anything more frustrating than being Nova Bombed/Fist of havoc'd just as you pick up heavy ammo or activate your special. Had a game where it happened EVERYTIME I did one of those things. Infuriating.

Invective bounty turned out to be fairly easy in the end. And I was similar to you in not really being great or enjoying PvP. Should really only take you about 3 games in patrol. Simply stick with other people the whole time and let them run forward first. That way you can pick up assists, and they take more of the fire which should reduce the number of deaths.

Im always a bit sceptical when someone says they're bad at pvp.
Particularly when they raid or do any vaguely difficult pve content.

I take it to mean they just dont play it.
Everyone gets farmed a bit when they start pvp the first time but you improve a lot, pretty quickly with a bit of practice (at least initially).
And honestly the standard of a bad player in pvp is pretty low and they're usually completely useless in pve too.

I am great with keyboard and mouse, i just suck with a pad.
All my PvP games are played on PC.

I probably fall in that boat a bit. I'm probably an average pvp player, but just don't like the constant spawn, kill, die repeat type thing so never play long enough to get a good knowledge of the maps/weapons and get caught out and just get frustrated.

I'm much better at simply working my way through things, using cover to briefly recover and work towards the objective. Generally start to struggle when things rush at me.

Anyone want to loot the oracles and templar quickly tonight?
