I don't have a checkpoint, finished it off with my hunter yesterday. Should be able to get my warlock to 30 tomorrow though, and hopefully free to raid in the evening.
 
Is the Monte Carlo worth bothering with? Stats don't seem particularly impressive.

This weeks nightfall has been shit, I got 12 shards, 7 coins and a legendary heavy. Such a waste of time. Last week I got the MIDA and Gjallarhorn.
 
I got a comedian, epitaph and some dead orbit pistol

I'd have taken shards or coins over that :D I dont need a couple of energy

The only "good" thing I've got from a nightfall so far was a 2nd Suros Regime. Which has since that night sat in my vault and done nothing

The chest in vog. You know the one after the "5th chest from no teleports"

Thats the one with a chance to drop exotics. Same with Atheon but I dont think he's given me one yet

Rest of my exotics came from engrams

I've seen 2 party members get a last word from nightfall, but no exotic handcanons from a nightfall for me no

Ah right, I got my second MIDA from that last week. How you liking the Fatebringer? Hawkmoon still better?

Most would kill for those. I don't think I've ever got anything good from a nightfall. Got an exotic (Hawkmoon) from a Tiger strike and two Monte Carlos from a VoG chest and a random legendary engram but that's about it. Hope Xur has something different this week for a change (along with a Titan helm)

Yes definitely better. But really happy with Fatebringer for oracle fights. So much so that I completely forgot to try out Praetorian Coil, at all, at any point, in any raid, on any character... And I've had it about 2 weeks now, fully maxxed out and equipped in my special slot every time. I just use the hand canon and never remember to switch :D

The MIDA is kinda crap, the VoC is so much better but Gjallarhorn is great, I didn't have enough ammo for the raid tonight but I can down Atheon's health by half alone. I can clear crowds with one hit.

Yeah, Fatebringer is just awesome, really handy for this weeks nightfall. I raided twice today and I only used Fatebringer, I was one shotting everything. Is Hawkmoon really that good? I don't believe the hype tbh. VoC is my second go to gun in the raid, it's excellent.

I've done that before, though got myself killed at the same time. Was doing the hard raid at the final boss. Sitting in the middle picking off harpies. Thought I had goldengun equiped, used it only to have the arc blade one appear. Didn't realise until after I had already hit attack. Ended up going off the edge as a result and dying.
 
Really hoping there's somehing good like an icebreaker (still don't have it) this weekend. Have 32 strange coins and 23 motes of light, so can get the random exotic engram, a weapon, a piece of armor and then the other 2 going towards my bounties where I need to buy something from him. Just as long as it's not an exotic primary that he sells, because I would then be like 4 away from getting everything.

I completed it yesterday with a pug (got impatient), but I'll come along for the ride if I'm about... still need to loot the gatekeeper tho
 
I got invited for the flawless raid, don't think I'm gonna bother though. Has anyone on here achieved it?
 
What nobody dying during the raid? No chance I'm trying for that...

Maybe after a few DLC and a higher level cap, when I can just stroll thru VoG bitch slapping everything... maybe then I'll give it a go. I'm in no rush...
 
Yeah, it isn't too hard I think, might take a few tried. I did the raid yesterday on my hunter and I only died twice. If the team is full of level 30's who know what they're doing then it's should be doable.

I'm mostly worried about the maze and the jumping puzzle.
 
Whats the point of that, to get a PSN trophy?

Yeah I get that 'in theory' it shouldn't be too hard... it's the relying on 5 other individuals not to fcuk up part that I'm stuck at. I've seen those 2 guys 2 man the vault so I'm sure if you hit lvl 34-36 you could stroll the vault with a mate or a few others and not really have to worry so much.

I mean 1 guy dies and you could have waisted an hour plus, if you attempt it as part of your usual raid attempt then fair enough, but otherwise it seems too much of a risk/waste of time for a trophy, you don't even get XP!

I know what you mean. I'll give it a try sometime but I'm not sure when.

@Adam-Utd Yeah, you only get the trophy, but I think for people it's more than that.

Flawless raider is doable on normal mode.
I've done a raid where I havent died the whole way through (once) I think if everyone is on it it can be done.

He'll most likely sell a primary this week.
Hes been following a pattern of primary > secondary > heavy > primary since release and sold a heavy last week.
 
@Anustart89 wow you're leveling up fast. Hope you like it anyway. Thought I'd take you through those Eagle strikelists as with your level it was an easy way to get you much better weapons/armour and though you died a lot it was fairly simple for me apart from that damn Venus one...

When you hit 18, I can take you through the 20 strikes, when you hit 20 I can take you through the 22 and so on. Hardest thing for you will be to get from 20 to 26 - happens to all of us, anyway.

When you hit 18, you'll be able to accumulate Vanguard Marks which you can use to buy armour from Ikora Ray the Warlock Vanguard. There's a 100 mark cap limit per week, but if you get 65 this week (before Tuesday) you can purchase legendary arm/leg armour from her which'll help level you up.

And once you get past level 20, I'll help walk you through the daily heroic and weekly heroic missions which give you better stuff too.
