Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

Bungie warns Destiny day one reviews might not tell the whole story.

They have a point, it will be best off to judge the game after reaching the level cap and playing the end game for a while but it's not a great noise coming out from Bungie is it.

I still predict it will get high scores. Not maybe GTA high, but it will get very good scores.

Some people will be disappointed. That is why I am not getting too hyped about it. Destiny for me would be a great game if I am playing it 3 or 6 months down the line as well as the first month.

I'm not saying he hates it, he's just 'sounding' underwhelmed... and he's playing through the same beta content so you can understand why...

People are playing, from neogaf etc... I'm watching Gerstmann's twitch (he doesn't seem too impressed). There's loads of streams...

I find Gertsmann to be bit of a negative nelly on streams, he cuts through the bullshit like no other but he also goes a little too far the other way in being picky in my opinion.

My local GAME is having a midnight launch, I should have gone to it rather than ordering off Amazon!

I've never been to a midnight launch of anything, ever. Are they as depressingly nerdy as they sound?

Didn't really like the beta tbh. Was very disappointed considering the hype it received. Are the first reviews being released today?
Ive been quietly underwhelmed since the initial hype train began, people are buying into the marketing instead of the actual gameplay. From watching the streams today im glad i didnt pre order.

I went to a Gears of War 2 Midnight Launch about 8 or 9 years ago whenever it was. Must have been 300 people there at a Gamestation in the town where I'm from. There was a fair number of nerds and then me and a couple of my mates.

It was more about going because I was 19 and unemployed and could do what I want. It was a rough time in my life but I was among the very elite GOW players at the time.

I have never understood why people give a damn about reviews. Have your own thoughts and like a game because you find it fun yourself, not because someone is able enough with English and writing to have got themselves a job expressing their own opinions.

Well if every outlet is giving a game a mediocre score its usually a good sign to stay clear, I wouldn't go and buy a game that was given a 6/10 score by a load of gaming sites.

Fecking hell, hard to believe Gears Of War 2 is that old. I was only around 15. Where does time go?

Ah right, nah I bought it from the UK store.

It'll be unlocked at midnight I imagine.

Mine has been dispatched and will arrive tomorrow, most likely when I'm still at work. Having it today would be no good to me because Polish accounts will only be allowed to log on from tomorrow.

I was at GTA5 in Warsaw because I was traveling to Italy early in the morning the following day and I took my PS3 with me to Italy (it was a business trip too) because I couldn't wait 4 extra days to play it and I wouldn't be able to buy it in the morning because stores wouldn't open until 2 hours after I've departed. It was actually all right, long queue of people waiting to pick their copy up, a lot of stupid talk which I conveniently skipped by putting on my headphones and listening to the music.

I'm currently staring at PSN on my TV screen trying to make my mind up over to pre-order it or not. Not that I can't afford it, I'm just scared that I've hyped myself up too much. Think I might wait to hear some impressions on here.

I'm glad I haven't got it yet tbh. Was watching a stream and the guy keeps getting kicked with a network error. I didn't really think about this but being online only as soon as there is any server problem it's back to the menu and you have to start again. Hopefully they get this sorted for tomorrow.

I'm the same, I get sucked in to hype quite easily too, guess that's why I preordered it. Six hours is a long time to wait...

If they have server issues when not many people are on. Imagine the problems when America and Europe go online on it.

It's online only?! I did not know this

I want this but i have no TV at the moment. My PS4 is just sitting in my suitcase...

I know, back then there used to be 4-6 guys on at any one time up for some action and giving teams hell over the mic. I haven't plugged my mic in for years so hoping a couple of you fellas aren't shy, it makes games better!

True, hardly anyone talks online on the PS4, including me. It'd be nice to do that again.

Have fun :)

Can't wait until tomorrow now, I hope I get a early delivery.
