Dargon this group hurts my head, some of them never cleanse.
Don't need anything from Xur. I'm fully kitted now and won't be replacing my Exotic Chest as it's perks suit me to the ground. Only way I'll be upgrading it is if the new DLC provides armour with more light and same/better perks.
As for weapons I'm happy using my Shadow Price/77 Wizard/The Swarm or Truth and have a Legendary Arc Sniper. I don't always have Truth equipped though so an Exotic Special might turn my head by Sunday.
I can't see me doing anything but daily/weekly/raids till DLC now.

We had Templar on a slither last night and a South African guy picks up the relic and refuses to cleanse or drop it (don't think he knew how) and was using the super on Goblin's and we inevitably die.
He was evicted shortly after.If you still haven't done it tonight give me a shout.
Patience and time is a fun weapon for Xur to sell, its good for pvp and arc burn. Happy he was selling something new

Yeh there was some really crap players in the group. Made it far harder than it should have been.
From the whole raid all I got was shards and energy plus chatterwhite. Waste of time, I need raid armour to actually use the shards and stuff on now if I want to progress

4th time i've bought the helmet engram hoping for mask of the third man.
He gave me a titan helm - 3rd one now.
Already have an arc sniper rifle and i dont really like them regardless.
Also its not going to be as good as you think in pvp.
Theres a big red light when your aiming down the sights - same as any sniper rifle.
Anyway I've seen one person actually do well with a sniper rifle in pvp and he was a freak
No scoping shooting you if you managed to get close to him, you'd stick your head out for a millisecond and bang, your dead.
He was stupidly good.
Anyone else ive seen use one have basically been cannon fodder.

Bad Xursday but the telementery is useful so bought all three (Handcannon for my Hawkmoon, Auto Rifle for my SUROS Regime/Monte Carlo and Shotgun for my three hundred Found Verdicts).
The helm engram is the only thing I need this week but not got enough motes yet, and sods law is that when I do get the motes it'll be apotheosis veil again or warlock helm. Really need a titan/hunter one

A sniper is pretty useless in PVP, they're always the easiest people to pick off ironically.
In fact anything that isn't a Shotgun, autorifle or fusion rifle is pretty much useless in PVP. Of course you get some freak players now and then that mop up 30+ kills with something like a Scout rifle, but they're a rarity.

Hand cannon works too. Though its hard to use i guess. Agreed mostly though.
What about a hand cannon like Hawkmoon which works well from a longish range?

Depends on the Hand Cannon itself. Some of them like the Hawkmoon or TDYK are pretty nifty but most of them are pretty disadvantaged because of their small clip size and slow firing rate. (Fusion rifles circumvent this by basically being one-shot-to-kill weapons). Even the better handcannons players will probably find themselves evenly matched against a medicore crucible player wielding a shotgun or Suros Regime.

When used well they're honestly horrible to go against
Most are just too precious with the ammo and lining up their shots.
I use the fwc legendary and it works, the ammo / clip size is slightly irrelevant.
Its a long range weapon to supplement a shotgun for me.
The vast majority of my kills are from a shotgun but in some maps that are quite open or have long corridors
i need to at least be able to put some vague pressure from range.
Some enemy groups its the same, if they're all hugging each other and using scout rifles or AR then i'd take hand cannon over AR everytime.
2 headshots is a kill with hand cannon (maybe not for the exotics? - dont have any of them). You'll die but you should take one or two with you.
So ill stick to cover, jump out and fire off 4/5 shots - im not being particularly careful with the shots but handcannons hit
so damn hard that if ... half of them hit (?) then they'll either be dead or have no shields and i can go in for a shotgun kill.
Then i can reload (or preferably switch back to shotgun ... or both).
Ammo and reloading is kind of a non-issue in pvp for me. Fights last 5 seconds - 10 seconds usually in pvp,
until your talking about something like invective reloading just isn't an issue imo.
An AR user cant / wont kill me from the range im using it at in the time frame im giving them -
if they see me immediately and get a string of headshots they will but at least im making it hard for them.
A shotgun user is kind of my bread and butter so if they want to come in range for that great.
Im not even good at using them, they're not common and maybe you'd file them under freaks but someone who knows how to use it,
particularly those with the crucible hand cannon are extremely tough to fight. (crucible one has radar when aiming so pretty tough to sneak up on).
They're like a usable sniper rifle in this game for me.
People are so mobile that the range and handling on sniper rifles makes it really damn hard to use,
And the big red light when aiming isn't exactly subtle.
Suros Regime is frankly why i use a handcannon.
Depends on the map (Moon and the other vehicle one can be terrorised by a good sniper), but I know what you mean.
Disclaimer: I'm no authority on Destiny PvP...
Funny enough I barely notice any snipers on Moon, most players just rush to the indoor locations where the usual Shotgun/Fusion rifle orgy ensues.
Bastion on the other hand..... (god I hate that map).
Finally got my pug and finished the raid, absolute doddle with the right group. Ended up 5manning Atheon.
So I went through the raid with my titan today, with some reddit randomers. Went pretty well, got loads of shards, as hoped, and the hezen rocket launcher. Had to switch to my main for the final atheon fight though, as there was only one other guy who seemed capable as the relic holder (there was a level 30 warlock who literally didn't have a clue what to do!) and it's pretty impossible if you're level 27.

I can do it early but eating at some point in next 20 mins so would have to be after that. Shouldn't take us long to do it anyway, just that everyone needs to remember to bring rocket launcher/heavy hitting weapons for Atheon
No point me doing it as my alt is only 18, so somebody can take my place. Will do the hard though when your ready.
