Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

gunsmith is currently selling rare fusion rifles if anyone needs them for the exotic bounty (or just wants to have ten in case they get it)

If I get them now and I don't have the bounty, does it count towards the bounty when I get it?

yeh. I had 8 stored up pre bounty and they all counted. So buy now and store them if you have the cash

Cool, will do that now. BTW are you still interested in starting in a alt? I'm not start a Titan soon.

@Damien how did you level up so quickly? Bounties?

I need to start a new alt as well.

I have a level 2 Titan I need to level up, but I don't think I can face it straight after doing that hunter.

I'm gonna start my alt, do the first mission and then you guys can join me.

Sick to fecking death of getting energy after every daily lvl 28. I have 64 now and only 3 shards.
Wish you could exchange somehow.

After the first character it gets easier. Had the strange coins to buy exotic armour for each one which goes a long way, then I do Tiger strikes until I get 65 marks to buy some more armour from the Vanguard if I'm level 2. When playing on my first character I had already got some legendary armour for the others which put me in good stead when starting them. Once I hit 20 and transferred the stuff over, I got to 23 quickly then 25.

Now you've played all 3, what would you say is your favourite.

Warlock followed by Titan, with Hunter last.

Anyone doing the weekly heroic? I'm going to attempt it with my alt

Did the rest of the raid with a pug earlier, re-killed Atheon without the cheese.

The hardest bit was the jumping, everything else was surprisingly easy.

Marathon session for me this afternoon and the game was being very generous

Picked up an exotic fusion from a legendary engram as well as about 5 other legendary armours and weapons

Also got another exotic bounty

I managed the daily and weekly on level 28, hit the maximum vanguard points for the week

I feel this was a worthwhile day....destiny why can't I quit you?

Mad, isn't it? We know it's repetitive and there's flaws with it, along with the constant changes Bungie makes, but it just has that addictive element to it which just makes you continue - and it is those things like the exotic bounties, engrams etc which do that.

I just need to do a raid now. I'm gonna watch a video of it as the couple of times I've tried I hadn't a clue what was going on

Anyone need to do the Xyor version of Summoning Pits for Thorn? Tried soloing it... Well that isn't happening.

Thinking of going for the exotic shotgun for the bounty, seems the easiest of the lot to complete.

Edit: anyone got the invective? Is it any good? Currently got a legendary shotgun so a like for like switch.

It's pretty good, recoil can be pretty shocking though.

I made my Titan a level 29 today.

What a grind but I went for it and used all my shards and energy so I'm fully leveled up when it comes to my guns and armour. I haven't managed to do the raid yet but this should make it easier if I do. Those people above that mentioned it being a bit addictive and it's longevity are so right.

This is pretty good for understanding it all.

Wow. A 40 page guide to complete one mission of a game. This need for tactics in a game in such detail can be both good and bad, I'm sure it would put off a lot of casual gamers.

I've got it. It's good but I bought the exotic sniper and prefer using that. The exotic shotgun/sniper seem to be only a little better than the legendary but they have other benefits like regenerating ammo.

Anyone up for doing this weekly heroic with me this morning? Got to get those 9 coins!

IMO you don't need a 40 page guide, it's quite straight forward when you actually play it a few times. Sure saying it in words and pictures is harder to explain, but start playing and it will all make sense. Much easier doing it with somebody who knows what they are doing first though.

It takes some getting used to but it absolutely destroys in PvP when you have it upgraded. It kills faster than anything else at short range. Its recoil is annoying but there's a perk to reduce it.

I've got all of the bounty based exotics except Thorn I think, and it's my favourite one by miles.

Bad Juju is awful and people say Thorn is too, though both are being upgraded soon. People rave about Pocket Infinity but I'm yet to try it out as I'm not keen on fusions and it's been nerfed in the latest patch. Super Good Advice is worse than any machine gun I've ever had, but it's piss easy to get hold of.

The bounty based exotics are a bit of a disappointment tbh. I bought Ice Breaker and got Hawkmoon from the crucible and both are immeasurably better.

This is taking the piss, I'm lvl 27, nearing 28 with a silly number of bounties completed yet I haven't had an exotic one come up.

Feck the RNG nature of this game.

Ive sort of gotten a bit bored of Destiny now - the endgame is just not really varied enough.

The only incentive for me now is getting all three characters fully kitted out with legendary gear ready for the next DLC.

I've finished it 3 times now with 3 different groups I have to agree with this, people are getting far too worked up about pre-planning for the Raid - just
go in to it with someone with experience and you'll be fine. I was worried myself at first thinking I'd be a useless liability, but as long as you all have mics and good communication it will come together.

Starting the daily now at 28 if anyone wants to join me.

I'm sort of in the same boat. The game has become largely just a grind to get shards for me doing the same stuff over and over. Think I'll just do the daily's and such and then put the game down for the day now (I say this now, but will probably end up patrolling anyway )

Who else is looking to give the raid a go?

I'm 27 now and I've done pretty much everything else so I want to try it. I've got a crazy german from the newbs who also wants to do it and is very good at the game. Anyone else? Haven't set a date/time but somewhere around 8-9 on 1 or 2 nights this week would suit me well.
