Much better value elsewhere.
Yeah, I think he’s very good but he’s not the solution alone. I don’t know if we can afford him + another thoughI think he is a quality player. Put Tielemans/Barella and Bruno in front of him, in front of him in a 433 and I feel we would instantly have one of the best midfields in the league.
Carrick? He doesn’t have to be carrick in the same way carrick wasn’t keane and Keane wasn’t Robson etcVery hard to judge Rice when West Ham's gameplan seems to be sit back and counter. In a Man Utd team, most of the time, the #6 has to be much more proactive. A lot of the time our back four is on the halfway line or further. United controlled the areas of the pitch in which the game was played, to such an extent its hard to know how Rice would do if he was called on to be more expansive. Certainly he miscued a couple of cross field passes. That makes you wonder how he'd do in our team, since Rangnick is clearly demanding McTominay makes the switches. For £100m you need to be sure about what you're getting and, for me, its not clear he can play the Carrick role.

I feel like there is a certain snobbishness when it comes to players like Rice. If his name was Jose Ricinho the same posters here would be gushing over him.And yet some are saying he’s not very good. Him and a striker who can play with his back to goal and we’d be a far far better team.
Someone like Donny maybe? He will be fine for us. He is good enough on the ball. But we need someone between him and Bruno that can play a bit, and helps out defensively at the same time.
