Really think he ends up at Arsenal. London club, CL football, plus he could play as defensive midfielder or higher up the pitch and with Xhaka leaving and the added need for competition/cover with Partey, he just fits in. We also seem to be the most interested in signing him. Its not a surprise we are the shortest odds with the bookmakers to sign him. Our reported bid also seems to be a matter of fact, no dithering or casual interest, it seems a foregone conclusion we will make a bid of atleast over 90m.
With Arsenal we are going to raise good cash via sales this year, Tierney & Balogun will be sold, both will easily fetch between 30-40m each. Plus, smaller sales of Holding Tavares, Lokonga. We could potentially raise 100m in sales for unwanted players. We have spent close to 150-200m in the past two windows, the fact we could raise 100m through sales this window, means we can do Rice & Caicedo. Its not binary for us, both of them are a possiblity. However Rice to Arsenal seems much more concrete.
Goal next year is to have a midfield of Rice, Partey, Jorginho, Caicedo, Odegaard, Fabio.
