Why would we sell him when ETH is going to dropkick De Gea on arrival at Carrington?
Because we want a good keeper? Why would we sell him when ETH is going to dropkick De Gea on arrival at Carrington?
Is that a moving company?
I'd take £10m and getting his wages off the books. Bang average goalkeeper that has never shown any signs of being anything else (yes, even at Sheffield Utd).
Really? Was he not undeniably brilliant on loan? I think he’s a good keeper but we need to always be striving for the best in the world really if we can and selling players for decent money is part of that
£40m sounds about right then...I saw a fair bit of Sheffield United while he was there (especially during "project restart") and he conceded so many soft goals. He just isn't good enough at keeping the ball out of the net, and doesn't have any other standout attributes to make up for it.

He has to have something? Fairly sure he made the PFA team of the year at some point and with a small club. Utd are paying him over 100k, Chelsea offered us 50 and Newcastle are offering 40. He must be a very good or potentially very good player

Deffo. For £40m help him pack his bags!
$40M for our next worldclass goalie in the making? Feck that. $80m from Newcastle.....but we can strike a deal at $60m okokok?

He's just moved in, give him a chanceSell him. Sell Rashford and Martial and Maguire and Varane and Wan Bisaka too
One acadamy player for another. Johnstone is definitely a good number 2. Sign him up and pay him normal wages 60k per wk is good.would be quite happy with De Gea, Johnstone and Heaton.

£40m?!Newcastle United are considering a £40m deal for Dean Henderson. Sources believe it is likelier Henderson will leave on loan as he is contracted until 2025 and on £110,000-per-week #mulive [@samuelluckhurst]

If it’s a loan with obligation to buy, then we should go for it. Newcastle spent a lot in January so not sure they can pay the amount without sports-washing some money.
Then we should learn from the dortmunds / everyone else in the world and say we need 50 from them. And the. Offer them de gea for 80£40m
If we can get £30m similar to Ramsdale it'd be a good deal. Crap that it's Newcastle though, he's the type of player that will help cement them in the top 8 or so.
How so? Selling to an up and comer or not making a good dealAnother decision that will tell us whether the club has learnt from past mistakes.
I still can't believe you gave him that insane contract.![]()
I'd only sell Hendo if, as you say, we get a very good replacement with the money we get. I'd be happy with Martinez or Sanchez or, for that matter, Fabianski who's had an excellent season. Kasper S wouldn't be a bad bet either. The most likely, however, is Nick Pope because it looks to me as if Burnley will be the one to drop.Sell Hendo and sign Sanchez for 40m. DDG and Sanchez can mix it for one year and DDG can leave next year for free. Sign a backup and we are set with Sanchez.
Too good to be true. We would probably end up giving new contracts to both Hendo and DDG.
