Deadline Day

no they (sadly) keep the sky correspondents well away from the general public now - shame as it made it far more entertaining.

Nonsense! It must be great...they can't be getting that excited over nothing guys.

:lol::lol::lol:

The money being thrown around today is madness. Plus some of the deals are eyebrow raising in the very least. I look at nearly every team panicking last minute and then remember that we have bought Bailly, Miki, Zlatan and Pogba what feels like ages ago. Now that's how you do a transfer window.

I hope we bring in a young player that no one has ever heard of and no one will ever see playing but by December our fans would vehemently call for him to start in place of Rooney only for him to be sold to Stoke next year for a marginal profit.

It makes a nice change to have done our transfers so early. Wonder if there will be any surprises, it quite a shock about David Luiz. The only thing I can see possible with us is Fabinho and then Darmian going out on loan somewhere.

I heard Pep told Bony not to let the door hit him on the arse on his way out.

He replied: That won't happen soon boss, It'll take 5 mins for my arse to leave the room after I do

Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.

I'm not religious.

Pretty impressive from City to clear out all the deadwood. Wish we could be that efficient.

There's nothing efficient in loaning out some of your record signings in recent years and even agreeing to pay part of their wages. They're basically giving them away out of desperation.

Maybe Bournemouth has better hospitals than the Italians?

Aye, the most likely explanation. Wanting to prove himself in the Premier League is fine, but he'd still get a chance to do it next season. Could have chosen to get out of his comfort zone, but everyone is different of course.

I don't think we will do any major business either way (in or out). We might get some young players for the U23's or loan out a couple more prospects but I don't see anyone from the 23 man squad going anywhere or us bringing in a first team player.

Why does everyone want Sissoko? The guy is shite.

The interested clubs have the memory of a goldfish and think he's good based on a couple of decent games at the Euros.

Should have just asked the opinion of any Newcastle fan out there.

BBC Red Button from 7pm will show transfer deadline stream of BBC Radio 5 live.

Watching Sky on deadline day is so boring without the background fans. At least they're streaming on Facebook now.

Same reason Derby just got 10M for a CM their fans seem to think was the 3rd or 4th best at the club; Good performances at a major international tournament + recency bias = transfer mistakes.

I vaguely remember thinking that Sunderland and Wigan had done well to sign Riveros and Alcaraz after the 2010 World Cup, for instance, and they were both below Prem standard.

If Wiltshire was considering abroad & Italy, I am surprised he didn't ask his mate Hart to put in a word for him at Torino. It might have been a good club to try to resurrect his career, particularly if he had a friend & countryman with him. Certainly more opportunities to play in than Milan & Roma

Jesus, there seems to be more scrambling than usual today. Why do clubs leave business to deadline day?
