Oblak? hahahaha...we're dreaming.
We're getting Pickford for £100 million and £600,000 a week wages.

Sorry??Atletico Madrid.
Athletic Bilbao.
Exactly.Sorry??
You spelled Atletico incorrectly. I think that's what he pointed out.Sorry??
Id sell DDG tomorrow for Oblak.Oblak? hahahaha...we're dreaming.

Maybe it has to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Reflex keepers seem to regress overnight. Its really worrying that Davids super reflex saves are happening less and less often. Especially at his age.
But he pulled them out of the bag every weekExpected goals is more or less as expected given the chances created against us.
But he pulled them out of the bag every week
Now he's a solid keeper who makes a fantastic save every now and then. That's not what made him special
I would say the larger problem with Pickford is the fact he’s not fit to lace DDG’s gloves, so to speak. The only problem with Pickford is that he’d cost more than what we’ll get for De Gea.
How’s Joel Pereira doing on loan? He’s supposed to be quite talented isn’t he?
Wouldn’t mind trusting Romero for a season and see from there, he very very rately let us down. Super cool keeper.
Nah, feck Pereira. If we sell De Gea to PSG as the rumours flying about say, I would much rather we gave Henderson a chance. He's playing very well at Sheffield United. Pereira has been well average whenever I've seen himThe only problem with Pickford is that he’d cost more than what we’ll get for De Gea.

I’m not dismissing the importance of a keeper, nor do I want to lose De Gea, but the reality of the situation is that he’s most probably going to leave.I would say the larger problem with Pickford is the fact he’s not fit to lace DDG’s gloves, so to speak.
For what it’s worth, I think that it’s staggering how people dismiss the importance of a goalkeeper. Particularly when, as United supporters, we’re uniquely placed to understand how much a good goalie can elevate a mediocre team.
Henderson has been class this season and last, would love to see him in the mixNah, feck Pereira. Yeah, there was a pro direct interview with him recently, got stacks of ambition and backing it up with great performances at Sheffield Utd.Henderson has been class this season and last, would love to see him in the mix
Have to say I have given him up, and totally expect him to leave next summer for PSG. We've had a good run, and he has stayed far longer than we could ever have hoped for. I got some sense of hope a year ago though, when the new contract rumours started to emerge, but the team is still underperforming to its real potential, and De Gea is that one player that has outclassed every player in the squad in these post SAF years, and in this way he is totally deserving a move, in my opinion. He has been class off the field, as soon as the Madrid thing was over, too. I'll forever keep my De Gea jerseys and use them proud. It has been a pleasure.
Really hoping Kasper Schmeichel is the one to replace him btw, or maybe Buffon comes to Old Trafford if/when David leaves for Paris?
Yep. Makes sense doesn't it.this nonsense again
He did win the Europa League playing for Atletico in 2010.If I was DeGea I would be also looking for a move. He has reached maturity and he has won the PL, FA Cup, Europa(not playing though) and the league cup too. Now he needs the CL and he is not going to get it at Manchester United. Certainly not in the next two to three years. So why not move back home or to Paris where the chances are much better to win the CL and at the same time get a better quality of life than Manchester?
I disagree, but I hope you’re right.I’m not dismissing the importance of a keeper, nor do I want to lose De Gea, but the reality of the situation is that he’s most probably going to leave.
So I’m trying to think on what we do next, paying 100m for Oblak would be a horrible decision in my book. A WC keeper is important to an already good and cohesive side, we’re nowhere near that.
I would rather a very good keeper instead of a WC one and spend that money more wisely.
De Gea will be missed but that not as much as you think.
Look on transfermarkt.com. There's a stack load of our players reaching the end of their contracts this season and next.As time is a constant, can you explain why contracts are bypassing time and going faster than it? Panic mongering by the media and people sure lap it up. Dave is here next season regardless as he'll still be under contract.
Without looking up which I'd say get rid of most of them. And no more 50 million pound replacements Jose till you eat your greens!Look on transfermarkt.com. There's a stack load of our players reaching the end of their contracts this season and next.
that cos we have a lot of older players on shorter contracts and extensionsLook on transfermarkt.com. There's a stack load of our players reaching the end of their contracts this season and next.

Its years of excellence though.Meh, it's fine margins. Last season was an anomaly. If we stop giving away so many clear cut chances, opposition will score less goals.
Its years of excellence though.
We've been trying to press out a bit more this year which means we're not really defending for 90 minutes in a low block which forces the opposition to shoot from further out that feeds right into Davids reflex saves.
Now they're working the ball closer to goal which means David has more decisions to make and I really think it confuses him. My abiding memory so far is of David not even attempting to save shots. Just standing there flat Foote's as the ball sails past him.
I'm not saying he could save any of them but David in the past made ridiculous saves by diving for shots that logic said were impossible to get to.
I'm watching the games though, stats don't tell the story. The stats don't back up any of the things you are claiming though. Especially the bit about forcing the opposition to shoot from further out.
If there was a vast difference between expected goals and goals, where we were leaking goals left and right without letting the opposition create chances, then it would be somewhat worth looking at as all of them can't be screamers into the top corner but with a low expected goals multiplier. But we've more or less let in the goals we are expected to let in given the chances the opposition is creating, and that's the worry.
Thanks for that, had no clue what he was talking about! You spelled Atletico incorrectly. I think that's what he pointed out.
