Day 9 | Georgia vs Czechia | Turkey vs Portugal | Belgium vs Romania

I was angry that he took off Dalot and left Mendes on the last day. Now he’s dropped Dalot altogether?

There are some truly, infuriatingly shite managers in charge of good teams at this tournament.

The amount of Turkish supporters in Dortmund is absolutely crazy. It took me 1h30m drive from my workplace (usual 10min drive around 3pm) to get home, and I’m not even close to BvB stadium

Have turkey decided they are going to lose so resting people for the last game?

Our boy Ronaldo vs our boy Bayindir.

I want Portugal to win it all, so hopefully Ronaldo scores a hat trick!

Expecting Portugal to score a few here. Georgia had plenty of chances against Turkey but just couldn’t finish them

Ones a former player. Ones a current player…. I also want Portugal to win it though as I’ve predicted them to.

Come on Turkey!

Booing Ronaldo is risky business. As old and shit as he is now, he's exactly the type of guy who will conjure a hat-trick out of nowhere just to shut this crowd up.

How is 41 year old Pepe still Portugals 1st choice CB? Or are they missing some players to suspensions/injuries?

I think we play worse than the Fernando Santos era and that's something.

He's still so good. They have some brilliant young defenders on the bench as well like Ignacio and Antonio Silva (who has been linked with United since he turned 18).

I think I saw nearly half this forum tipping Portugal, who start a 39 year old striker, 41 year old CB and have one of the most overrated coaches I've ever seen.

They've got some of the highest rated young cbs in world football too. Martinez though

That's why Germany is probably the best bet to win the whole thing imo. Best manager by far and that will make the difference.

Martinez is still miles better than Southgate tbf.

Seems like the Fox commentators suddenly decided Turkey's name can no longer be pronounced "Turkey" and instead has to be pronounced the way they do it in the Turkish language. Quite pretentious!

Moyes called Czechia Czechoslovakia today.

I don't think tactics really make that much difference in international football tbh. The big thing is choosing the right players. If the manager can do that they don't need to be a tactical genius to win.

Feels like every decent move ends up with a punted cross in Ronaldo’s direction
