Don't get why some are complaining about the non corner, it was after the allotted time anyway, theres no rule to say you must allow a corner after the time is up. He was right to blow the whistle.

Even though it benefited Liverpool, that was well deserved. Newcastle are the biggest time-wasters in the league and were pathetic that night. Karma hit them like a truck.

I'll tell you what... we aren't going to do anything special this World Cup, not with Darwin Nuñez upfront. If we beat Portugal today and Cavani looks like he could have an Indian Summer tourno, fine, but if we don't and it's us or them I'd be happy to see Ghana go through.
They can get that 2010 monkey off their back for starters and I think the way they reacted against Portugal and today, they've got a swagger about them that could surprise going forward. Chaotic and all, they could have some run, while we are going to fizzle out as quickly as balls bounce off Nuñez' boots.

Agreed, you see the whistle blown in situations like that all the time and if he'd allowed the corner and SK scored he'd be getting stick for that too, you can't win.

South Korea was passing it around at the back when the clock struck 100' without any urgency. Had the ref blown then they wouldn't even have complained. You're not guaranteed another minute just because you get a corner kick. Look at yourselves and what you did do wrong or didn't do enough of, rather than be a crybaby in front of the ref.
