Mac Allister the only one with some quick and clever touches for Argentina. Everyone else needs a minute to decide, and even with that De Paul with among the worst midfield displays.

Worst half of football at the tournament so far. Argentina are hopeless and Mexico are there just to defend (yet have the only shot on target). The Argentina selection is as bizarre as it is uninspiring.
 
They look even worse than in 2018. How were these second favorites?

De Paul is terrible, Di Maria is completely over the hill, those Sevilla backs are meh and Otamendi is Otamendi.

About what? Them going out? I want Uruguay to win first and then any South American team. There's rivalry when we play but ultimately we have tonnes in common.

Others will say "anyone but Argentina" but it's not borne in anything other than sparing themselves the bragging.

Lautaro Martinez. The striker you didn't know we needed all along.The centre forward we want for the next 10 years.

A fast, two footed finisher who works hard. He's the finishing touch to our attack. He's got good link up play and drops in if needed to get the ball and carry it forward.

Inter still owe us £40m for Lukaku. Martinez himself wanted to go Barcelona but I doubt any of the Spanish teams can afford to buy him now.

Mexico have been beyond awful in the last third this tournament. Every time they get the ball in a decent position they pass it to the opposition.
