Day 7: Tunisia vs Australia | Poland vs Saudi Arabia | France vs Denmark | Argentina vs Mexico

it's not that I watched 100 games of him, but I always thought of Lautaro as a player similar to Tevez, energetic, fast, keeps defenders busy. but he plays like Koller/Inzaghi again. ghost.
What is Lautaro supposed to be good at?
He reminds me of Lacazette. He’s technically tidy and has a vicious shot, but he’s too small/slow to action the space and take full advantage. Easy to phase out of these types of matches

I'd go 343 and bring on Paredes, try to play off the flanks, using paredes to switch play

Don't think I saw a single impressive thing done by anyone with the ball in open play. Not one piece of skill, a pass, a cross, a neat touch - nothing. This has been Championship level quality and both teams have managed to kill what was a great atmosphere set by the fans. Mexico will be okay with this, but Argentina desperately need to change things.

Not sure why Argentina aren't starting Enzo and Paredes who are their best midfielders.

Argentina midfield is awful. Never rated De Paul, so overrated. Bang average player. Di maria is absolutely shite. They need to bring on Dybala.

At least we get Licha back early if Argentina crashes, which is very possible looking at the shite they're serving up

No way, he isn't obsessed with individual records like Ronaldo

This is his last World Cup for sure, dude has no leg already at 35, no way he extends his career with 4 more years of this, Ronaldo is more cynical about being washed, he doesn't care about playing well as long as he scores a tap in.
100% agree.

They should attack from the flanks more, Mexico is really compact in the middle by 5-3-2 formation and a lot of aggressive and tactical fouls.

This team is totally underperforming. It's amazing how poor they're playing, nothing compared to what they used to do. I believe some players are shitting their pants, especially De Paul who is a key player of this team.

This has nothing to do with the way they were playing before, it's painful to watch. This team didn't use to depend or Messi. Di Maria wasn't even a starter, now if they don't touch the ball nothing happens. It's frustrating that this is happening at the WC.

My only hope is that we can somehow win both games and play differently at the KO stages, but it seems utopian at this point.

This team had good pressing, cohesion, they used to generate chances. The exact opposite to both games so far.

I'm fecking depressed.

Also I'd take off Lautaro and Di Maria for Correa and Alvarez. Get that pressing and dynamism ahead of Messi, get wing backs on to push forward... Just very 1 dimensional

Did De Paul Complete a pass from around the center circle all game? I have seen him mentioned here as a potential united target in the past, what is he good at? Because he's not very good at this football thing.

Lautaro and that Paul guy who always loses the ball out. Dybala and Alvarez in. But it doesnt matter. Argentina will not win against Poland.

Lautaro isn't good enough. Argentina have zero cohesion.

Isn’t Di Maria so ugly. Makes me wonder is his wife blind? Slagged off every one in Manchester and called there looks yet her husband looks like one of the elf’s of noddy.

Scaloni need to take off all 3 of Guido Rodriguez, de Paul and di Maria and bring on Paredes, dybala, Papu Gomez and go with 4-2-3-1.

Cash money, bro.

Argentina won't score in open play unless they get another attacker on and have their midfielders getting in the box.

Messi is crowded with four players at all times and Martinez has little presence to make anything happen.

Their midfield play has also been extremely poor with Macallister being the only one good on the ball.

Amazing how an injury to one player can ruin an entire team

What is Lautaro supposed to be good at?

He is quick, good in tight spaces, and rather good finisher. He’s also a smart player with his passing. Got a good vision… But this first half here has been abysmal. No movement and no initiative..

If they bring on Enzo Fernandez and Dybala I fancy them to win it, because everything is played in front of Mexico. At least with those two on the pitch they can create from deep

True but the rat goes into her hole and deposits cash there every week. She wishes she had some more holes so he could stuff them all up.

it's a bit funny how Messi has a spezific area and he is just walking in it

I was so disappointed in him when he just walked around modric even he was just inch away from him, and that was exact moment that led real madrid to come back against PSG.
