Was Turkey rated even a little bit coming into the tournament? They are dire. Great touch and composure (finally) for the goal, but that's a horrible defensive breakdown. The run was so deep yet went unchallenged.

Yes we are both watching a finished former World Class player do some good things against a team somehow worse than Ireland and I'm still laughing at how anyone dared to say he was a better player than Giggs. Great goal though. I am actually supporting Wales and Scotland for this tournament!
Talent has always been there... maybe a week or three with squad/Wales (he loves playing for his country) and some good training sessions has made a difference, after a tough season

Ah no I'm likely being harsh because I always hated the Bale is better than Giggs argument! But I worry for the two at club level unless they are willing to take the step down a bit. They are both still good but finished at the top is what I meant, which is where I guess they both still want to play!

I wouldn’t say Bale embarrassed himself at Spurs, he was unfit for the first half but I think the fans were fairly happy with him. Don’t know what the likes of @balaks thinks (sorry mate you’re the only Spurs fan I know on here)
I agree that Ramsey would have had more goals in his earlier days, but the lad still has great off the ball movement, that never leaves!

This happens every time England plays in a major tournament, though. The commentators (and the pundits) are incredibly biased. It's nothing new, although it can be grating I agree.

They showed absolutely nothing and, bar Soyuncu, they're incredibly shaky at the back. One of the worst teams I've seen in this Euro and they're on their way out.
