Day 6: Finland vs Russia | Turkey vs Wales | Italy vs Switzerland

Come on Turkey, you've got the opportunity to practically knock the Welsh out of this :( Deserved lead for Wales though.

I wouldn’t say Bale embarrassed himself at Spurs, he was unfit for the first half but I think the fans were fairly happy with him. Don’t know what the likes of @balaks thinks (sorry mate you’re the only Spurs fan I know on here)

I agree that Ramsey would have had more goals in his earlier days, but the lad still has great off the ball movement, that never leaves!

I apologise for my dickish tone, I shouldn’t post duri if the game as my adrenaline is flying and I’m squeezed into my two sizes too small Welsh top. God speed mate

If 11 goals in 20 appearances is embarrassing himself well I'm glad he did.

you know players don’t score every chance…

will have to look on YouTube and find all the videos of Ramsey scoring international hat tricks

I wasn't clear, my apologies. I meant finished at the very top level, where they used to be and I assume they still want to be. For example James appears to be Wales best player which would never ever happen in a team with prime Bale and Ramsey. They are still good but they need to accept a significant step down at club level is what I meant. Finished, in hindsight, is the wrong word as long as they're accepting of this fact.

What’s with the Aussie colours and Wales? If it’s for winning mentality they were after, it’s working

both in the twilight of their career.

I don't think Bales has any interest in playing non CL level football, but Ramsey as a 10 on Wolves (or another team of smart players with no attacking thrust from midfield) for example seems like he could have a few more fine seasons.

I'm just surprised that Robbie Savage hasn't suggested putting Pogba into the Wales midfield.

A measly 20 appearances over an entire season - in the absence of any serious injuries - for a player with his status is pretty close to embarrassing, surely?
It’d be interesting to know Jose’s take on why his appearances were so limited

He was clearly nowhere near fit for the first 3/4 months - if you look at the matches when he was actually fit again, on the whole he was very good. I would absolutely love him back for another year now he is fit.

He was injured for the first few games and then Jose did his usual shithouse thing and froze him out for a period after Spurs imploded in Europe. He was far from embarrassed or embarrassing but the anti Bale agenda is not just limited to Spain it seems.

Do you guys have European football next season?
I can see him featuring for RM now that Zizou has left

Man can’t even recognise this Turkey team. They had so many good players back in the day. Turan, Tuncay, Emre, Nihat, Altintop..

Well that’s the second consecutive manager he’s had that has an “anti Bale agenda”. Just a coincidence?

"A better save than it actually looked", it was straight at him travelling at a snails pace

Turkey look very half arsed about things be surprised if Wales don’t get another..

Turkey are ridiculously stretched out. I can't remember the last time I watched a team playing at such a high level with such large distances between the defence, midfield and attacking lines.

Nope, they are both cnuts. The anti Bale agenda though is more about the media who have been flogging the same crap for years now just because Bale is not a robot. He does not want to be "football friends" with the rest of the RM squad, oh the horror.

What the hell was Yilmaz all about there? Done well initially then shot from a crazy angle.
