I wasn't clear, my apologies. I meant finished at the very top level, where they used to be and I assume they still want to be. For example James appears to be Wales best player which would never ever happen in a team with prime Bale and Ramsey. They are still good but they need to accept a significant step down at club level is what I meant. Finished, in hindsight, is the wrong word as long as they're accepting of this fact.

I don't think Bales has any interest in playing non CL level football, but Ramsey as a 10 on Wolves (or another team of smart players with no attacking thrust from midfield) for example seems like he could have a few more fine seasons.

He was clearly nowhere near fit for the first 3/4 months - if you look at the matches when he was actually fit again, on the whole he was very good. I would absolutely love him back for another year now he is fit.
He was injured for the first few games and then Jose did his usual shithouse thing and froze him out for a period after Spurs imploded in Europe. He was far from embarrassed or embarrassing but the anti Bale agenda is not just limited to Spain it seems.
