Day 6: Colombia vs Japan, Poland vs Senegal and Russia vs Egypt

The replay is hilarious. The keeper seemed to take ages to reach the left post.

Not a free kick in the first place. Refs really need to clamp down on the diving so far in the WC, there's been far too much of it.
Players will turn round and say 'well there's contact, he's entitled to go down'

Anybody else think the keeper reacted REALLY slow to that FK? it almost dribbled over the line.

Is Eder Balanta in the Colombian squad? Fm legend but have no idea how good he actually is meant to be

Japan has no clue. Pekerman sealed the midfield with the sub of Barrios. Kagawa nowhere to be seen and all his team mates look cack.

Var should have overturned that fk decision. The soft fouls that are so rampant in the game are incredibly annoying and at other times blatant fouls don't get punished coz they don't look bad.

Great free kick and everything, but honestly - how the feck can you give a free kick for that?! Absolutely ridiculous decision.

Also asian teams having a mare again. Iran are the only ones that won, and let's get real, they are not knocking out Spain or Portugal.

Not that ridiculous he’s just using his experience to get a free kick. There was contact and he may have manufactured it but it’s more clever than anything.

True that
Asian teams African teams have regress in a way

The last World Cup teams with 10 players managed to get 2 draws and a win

Japan should be playing better, they have Okazaki and Honda on the bench which means the attack must be pretty decent.

I don't think he did it well only a dumb ref gives that as a foul.
We’ve seen in dozens of times slowed down, from multiple angles. In real time it looked a free kick and from the angle the referee was at its very undstandable to see why he gave a free kick.

Africans have definitely taken a step back (not sure about Asia. Europe and the Americas just got better). I remember those 90’s early 00’s African teams brimming with big time players (Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana). The Ivory Coast of the last 10 years too. I don’t know what happened there to the talent conveyor belt.
