Day 6: Colombia vs Japan, Poland vs Senegal and Russia vs Egypt

Quintero was really highly rated a few years ago, interested in watching him today.
I remember seeing him in some youth tournament years ago and thinking he looked really talented, his left foot was an absolute wand. Is he still at Porto?

Played for River Plate last season.

Cuadrado has been absolutely shite so far. Especially at a time when Colombia need their big players to step up.

Ye he keeps being loaned out and from what I've seen today he's still not good enough in terms of intensity, concentration and decision making.

Japan have deteriorated so much in quality the last few years. I remember that game against Italy in the confederations cup a few years ago where they were brilliant.

According to the graphic no player has been clocked at more than 9km/h.

They changed manager a couple weeks before the wc iirc.

They haven't had great managers recently. They're also relying on older players too much. Not many stand out younger Japanese players making waves in Europe recently.

It’s a shame they were a pretty decent side.
