Both midfields sit back too deep imo to ''get the round around''. It's all about the front attacking players and who can take their chances. It'll be close.

I don't know if this is an overrated opinion, its certainly the correct one!
 
The amount of thuggery that Rudiger and Azpilicueta get away with is astounding. They could suplex someone and people would say, 'ah he's just been a bit clumsy there, nothing intentional.'

This is what they do. They have an excellent group of players but they basically just sit and leg individuals make the difference. A sitting tactic with Kante cleaning up in the middle, fullbacks who often play as CB's for their clubs, a world class CB like Varane, and then give it to Pogba/Mbappe and now Benzema to counter at will. Especially Mbappe's pace. It's a very good tournament tactic.
 
McCoist seems to be talking about everything except what is actually going on in the game.
 
Those fouls should be a clear yellow. So fecking dangerous allowing players to get kicked, knee'd and headed in the head just because "he had to go for it there". Borderline red in that scenario for me.

Hope Pavard is OK. Thought he was exaggerating because of the danger at first but no he got knocked out

Yeah he's run into blind alleys and lost the ball multiple times in front of his defence multiple times.
