Pepe is one of the biggest idiot on this football planet but the Oscar goes to Thomas Müller. Such an a**hole.

Nice header by Hummels though. Ran instantly to the bench to celebrate with them.
 
Portugal play as individuals. Germany play as a team. Portugal don't defend as a team or attack as a team.
 
I'd be disgusted if I was Portuguese. They've basically just given up.
 
Much better than expected. Fantastic performance, even though the defensive hiccups are still there.

Aye. I can't believe some of the posts I'm reading here. An intentional head butt is a straight red every time. The video leaves no room for doubt that it was a head butt.

They need to stop the tide coming in anymore. Bring on Carvalho and some other work horse players and try and shore the defence up and keep the goal difference from descending into madness. I hope Ronaldo bollocks Pepe the tit head.
 
That wasn't a natural reaction to getting hit in the face on the football field. Bloody Mueller. Pepe was right to be incensed. Not saying he should have butted him though.
 
Isn't this exactly how Germany does at tournaments tho?
Give everyone in their group a beating then falter at the Quarter/Semifinals.
 
The fact Nani's in the team is indicative of the problem Portugal have. It doesn't seem to matter what has happened in the last two years, the same players will be picked.

The team has no cohesion, no plan apart from giving it to Ronaldo, and it's paying the price.

Germany, on the other hand, actually have a system and some tactics. Which helps.

Did you see his reaction? like "Not again" must be tedious after making a big effort to recover from injury and his team mates let him down. Of course he should take some of the blame too as he hasn't done anything despite the hype, still 2nd half.

Müller is such an unlikeable twat. It's not healthy how much I can't stand him and his gormless face.

And it was preceded by a face slap. One offence would warrant yellow, but two of them in space of few seconds were too much.
 
Portugal's tactics was suicidal, they pressed too early and exposed themselves for counter attacks. Müller, Özil and Götze found themselves in acres of spaces. Don't like Löw but maybe he isn't that bad.
 
People go on about football being soft and fair enough when a slightly strong looking tackle earns a red, I understand that but it's clear to all players that you can't headbutt a player and Pepe still does so, deserving a red. What did he think was gonna happen?
