Day 3 | Poland vs Netherlands | Slovenia vs Denmark | Serbia vs England

It is not about Southgate. It is about quality of players. Very overrated.

Media and pundits paint a very wrong picture about players from England. I've said before game that not many would be starting for other top nations.
Stones, Walker, Rice, Bellingham, Saka, Foden, and Kane would all start for other top nations.

Definitely not many, but surely at least Kane, Bellingham, Rice and Walker, right?

How good is this Serbia team to be keeping up this well with a generational England side? Do we have to consider them second in line when it comes to tournament favourites now?

Horrible football from England and the worst game at the Euros so far. Laughable how bad they are with a squad like that.

A decent team is beating England comfortably playing like this.

Southgate needs to make a change. Serbia haven't been overly threatening but you're asking for trouble leaving things as they are.

Some of these players must be depressed coming from being coached by Pep, Arteta, Klopp etc. to Southgate.

Do other nations not do the same or something? I've always found it weird when people complain about an English channel praising the England team during tournaments.

I sometimes watch Denmark on Danish TV and they’re exactly the same. Completely biased towards their national team, as expected, and I suspect other countries are the same too.

Trent is garbage. Doesn't block the pass into the half sapce, then lashes the clearance straight to a Serbia player. He doesnt belong in midfield.

When you don't have leaders things can fall apart. England central midfield is gone. Serbia should have at least 1-1 by now and a penalty.

As shit as he’s been for us, Rashford would’ve been useful for that role on the left due to his pace. Trent with his Hollywood balls and Rashford/Saka running into space down the wings would be a viable backup plan for when we can’t impose ourselves.

Yeah absolutely. Just some pace on that left and it would open up our attack, make better use of captain Hollywood and pin back Serbia more.

For me the question isn’t whether or not Mainoo should start. It’s whether or not TAA should start in midfield, and the answer is and has always been a resounding no. Once TAA is out, there’s a conversation to be had about who should start next to Rice, but we know it definitely shouldn’t be TAA.

This, with bells and whistles on. TAA just doesn’t fit with England.

England seem happy to sit back and defend the 1-0 lead. Never a good option given the attacking quality they have.

Hey, this has turned a bit turgid.... but what control by Kane there.

This is so painful compared to even a semi decent club team. Just hoof it up the pitch, that's it. No ability to keep the ball under any kind of pressure.

Does Southgate think

A) That everything is fine

B) That the problems in game can't be solved by making subs, or

C)That subs are illegal before the 70th minute?

I swear Harry Kane is nowhere near the player he used to be 5 years ago. Whenever I watch him he is better midfielder than an actual forward, he is not very dangerous despite scoring lot of goals in many not so important games lately.

Checking his goals history he likes to scores 2-4 goals against some teams and often not scoring for few games after that, which is exactly how I feel when watching him. I seriously cannot remember when I watched him live on TV last time that he scored. Probably against

Southgate is literally the handbrake for England. For all the attacking quality they have, they needlessly play an overly cautious, cagey game which brings Serbia to the game.

They should be easily controlling the games like this and winning by a bigger margin playing much more comfortably. Instead, he plays TAA in midfield to lose any kind of control. Absurd decision.

He's a "don't lose first" type of manager rather than "let's go and win this".

He'll put Gallagher on for sure. Only a matter of time.

Probably Palmer on for Foden as well.
