Belgium were by far the better team in the first half. Brazil were then better in the second half. It could have gone either way, but your last comment is weird because their great defense is how they held out for the win at the end.
I didn't think he was particularly good in this match, but Hazard did some brilliant work in the final 10 minutes holding the ball up, launching counter-attacks and winning freekicks.

You can argue who was the better side today, but there's no denying how fantastic it is to see Neymar go the feck out.
Depends who wins. Assuming Croatia v England is the other semi... so far would say Kante for France, hazard for belgium, kane for England and Modric for Croatia.

I don't think we can be too hard on Brazil today. They gave a big push in the 2nd half but missed some gilt edged chances. At this level the small details are crucial. But also it's two top teams and someone has to lose. A few details went against them. The header of Thiago Silva could've gone in. The own goal was very fortuitous on the other side. It could've easily been the other way round. Buy congrats to Belgium and looking forward to the semi final.

The trouble with Belgium is, that Meunier has got 2 yellow; while Matuidi will be back. Belgium has a much thinner squad, and Carrasco was awful. This of course depends on whether Pogba shows up or not, kind of unpredictable.

Hazard, KDB and Lukaku, were all Chelsea alumni as you know. Belgium MF is awful, second rate at best. Imagine their MF with Kante and Matic, plus either 1 of Fabregas, DC, Willian. This is what Chelsea should have looked like. Great scouting network, awful management to miss all that.

Brazil were unlucky in a way. An odd own goal. Brazil defender tackles Lukaku to play a perfect pass to KBD but once in front Belgium handled them for most of the rest of the game. Brazil were similar when they played England a few months back, it was all to intricate and strong physical defenders can shut their small technical players out. That said, they missed two big chances to equalise. Maybe we will get a new winner this time and Fellani gets to lift the WC!
I am glad Brazil are out. They are so arrogant and Neymar and his dives and antics turns people off them. Belgium may just win it. Their individual talents support that. Think they can beat France.
