Day 23: Uruguay vs France and Brazil vs Belgium

So far Belgium have Brazil's number. They are going to have to change big time to get something out of this.

Fernandinho is having a shit game. Would.like to see fred given some chance

The bashing against Brazil is way OTT in here. They let in one own goal from a corner and one brilliant counter, while creating more than enough to score two of their own against one of the best teams in the world, and somehow that shows that they are the most overrated team in the tournament..:wenger:

"If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there."

George Harrison

Given that he's playing on the same side as Marcelo, Coutinho and Neymar, Fellaini is doing great job thus far.

Lukaku really should be Belgium's captain. Skills and more leadership abilities than Hazard.

Hope Jose gives him the armband sometime this season.

Funny you should say that. I was just saying how I find it baffling that Kompany isn't the captain, I know his injury record is poor but he's for sure one of the greatest leaders the Premier League has seen.

Lad, it’s Neymar.

Lukaku has been best Belgium player in this match so far. Probably best of both teams combined.

You can't be serious. I mean, he's been good. But Hazard has just been incredible. KDB really great too. Even Fellaini has been more impressive. Look at Coutinho, we haven't even seen him!

Luka has had a couple of terrible sideways passes too. Could have been dangerous

If Neymar is a 200m player and wants to be the best in the world the second half is massive for him

Coutinho >>>>> Neymar.

Neymar has just never looked match fit in this world cup. Looks like a nothing player for large parts of the game.

Still has individual brilliance though, so don't bet against him.

They'll need to bring a more attack minded midfielder to help Willian down the left. He's too isolated with Coutinho only veering left and the right back being nowhere near as adventurous down the right as Marcelo on the left.

Playing both Paulinho and Fernandinho when chasing 2-3 goals is too negative.

Belgium looking very very good indeed - surely strong favourites to win the tournament if they get through this match.

That was a superb performance all across the pitch from Belgium. Helps that Rom, Hazard and KDB have brought their A-games.
