Day 23: Uruguay vs France and Brazil vs Belgium

Still think they flatter to deceive. I'm also not inclined to see France do well because of Deschamps - who just seems to get by.

Disagree. France have by the far the hardest route any team can take to win the Cup, Argentina, Uruguay, the winner of Belgium/Brazil then probably England/Croatia. They aren't going to meet and weakling in the KO stages but they're still in semi final.

Mbappe embarrassed himself there. That was Neymar-esque.

If I was Deschamps I'd sub Pogba and Mbappe off, get Nzonzi and Dembele on.

Uruguay ain't scoring two goals here.

Pogba very lucky not to be punished there. He has to show some more composure, especially with his team in a comfortable lead.

play him in a midfield 2
Easier said than done, we’ve tried it alongside Matic on numerous occasions and people scream on here for him to be at the left of a midfield 3.

If Pog doesn't get subbed at the 80th minute mark and then proceeds to get booked, Deschamps is to blame really.

Always enjoy Neville commentating.
Loving the deep lying Pogba, he's taken charge of that French midfield time and time again.

mbappe looks to have borrowed some tricks from his psg teammate.

The writing was on the wall for Uruguay once Cavani was confirmed to be out unfortunately, shame really as he transforms that team. Can't see Uruguay coming back into this.

So not Pogba? For actually getting himself booked?
