Yep, they usually play with a defensive mindset in big tournaments because I remember them playing very attractive football against Germany in recent friendlies (during Euro '16, they were back to playing on the counter during the semi-final).

French attack totally out of sync. Through balls nobody runs into, backheels to opponents etc. The have been like that most of the tournament. Just out of sync. Imagine if they truly clicked.
Uruguay have a goal in them. They've been more dangerous than France.
Have you seen Giroud's stats for France. He's one of their best strikers. People underestimate his value to that team.
