Day 20: Brazil vs. Colombia

This is just unwatchable now. Game has been wrecked by the ref.

Neymar's such an odious little cnut. I'd love it if he misses the semi final through a yellow and Brazil go out.

Typical Spanish refereeing when it comes to stopping the match. On the bright side, this ref doesn't give that much cards (by Spanish standards).

I love how every time a fit bird is on screen the jealous guy always has to get in there and occupy half the screen

Brazil have been using the long ball all tournament, its one of the big complaints Brazilians have had so far. They are playing this game differently to the previous 4

They've certainly hit more long balls over the course of the tournament than you'd expect, but they did it to ridiculous proportions against Chile. Here, they're closing down early, probably to stop Colombia's dribblers getting on the ball. They're rarely even in a position where a long ball would even be an option.

Bright side? That's why it's so bad. If he'd booked players for actual bookable offences they'd have to stop fouling.

Duncan Ferguson would struggle to get booked in this match.

I suspect he does not want any of the tournaments poster boys missing the semi final.

David Luiz is playing like a Conference centre half, the old saying "if it comes near boot it clear".
