Day 2 | Hungary vs Switzerland | Spain vs Croatia | Italy vs Albania

Holy crap, 3-0. Great cross from the kid.

The second half will be very interesting.

A defensive feck up for Morata's goal, an attacking feck up when they failed to push the damn ball in from the goal line, and then got done on 2 pieces on sheer individual brilliance
Your guy Carvajal still doing it at the highest level.

Croatia is a strange team. Always overachieve in World Cup but so poor in Euros.

I don't think the Croatian keeper has made 'mistakes' but I think he's been a bit passive with staying on his line.

Would have liked for him to close down Morata before he shot for the first goal and should have moved towards the goal for the third.

The central defenders aren't helping. So passive.

Unlucky from Croatia. Spain just took all their chances, Croatia did not convert a single one of theirs.

Game over by half time in the games so far. Scores have been 3-0, 2-0, and 3-0.

Funny how before the tournament Spain and Germany seemed incredibly disrespected and they come in and put in 2 ridiculous performances that I'd say most of the other "favourites" aren't capable of putting in.

Feels bit harsh on Croatia. Was competitive for about 20 mins.

2-0 in the blink of an eye.

And 3-0 on the brink of HT.

Spain are purring, and they look just as lethal when going direct as they would with their possession ball

They have pace now with Williams and Yamal, can stretch the game for the midfielders. Was lacking in previous teams.

Post Villa and Torres they didn't have goals. Many talented midfielders and wide players but no real goal threads. The addition of pacey wingers has made them more dynamic.

Me too. This is not on the level of Scotland's performance last night by any means and yet they're getting wrecked by Spain.
Yeah that’s how I see it. Croatia have had chances and before the first goal, were growing into it.

Spain has been clinical with their finishing. And Croatia look clueless up front

You know Croatia are fecked when the new golden boy/successor to Modric is Majer.

Must admit I didn’t think this was a very impressive Spain side on paper, but they’ve looked really good.

Croatia’s golden era looks well and truly over though.

That first goal was poor , seeing it again though , I think the sun played it's part . Clever the way Spain played it though

Has Gvardiol always played left back?

He's composed and decent going forward but seems like a big net negative when the Croatian central defence seem slow and passive.

The young Spanish team looks quite lethal, but I would not be too surprised if they fails in the latter stage as they often did. Croatia on the other hand is the opposite, slow start like a tank but lethal once they get to the play off

This is an “end of an era” performance from Croatia if Ive ever seen one.

These games are too one sided. Don't worry, though, England play tomorrow. That game will be 50/50.
