Verotonghen has been the best player out there tonight. Had that volley gone in...

Really good game so far. I have no idea what role Fellaini is playing, he seems to be a bit of a passenger on the pitch at the moment.

Well he is perfectly entitled to have a work environment he is happy to be in, its nothing to use as a stick to bash someone with.

european players always get sniped at for staying in 'comfortable' positions and not testing themselves - le tiss, shearer, etc.

howard and donovan owe it to american soccer to push to the highest level - the fact they get a 'pass' on it is wrong.

Vertonghen absolutely class.

Hopefully he brings that form to WHL next season rather than his previous seasons form.

How aren't Belgium leading? This is hard to believe.

Yet another great play by Origi.

Howard did it just did not work out.

the age skews old but the revenue growth is astounding.

sports rights are the most valuable and baseball provides massive inventory for channels in the summer.

it is not a dying sport IMO as the tv money has consistently grown at a ridiculous clip

With the whole steroids issues, empty stadiums, and percentage of viewers going down--especially with younger people--baseball is on the huge decline. This is an excellent time for investors to invest in soccer in my opinion.

Is it Howards job to do that? Is he even capable?

Everyone been a team on the cusp of cracking the top level in England. Isn't there also something to be said for sticking it out with a club and trying to help raise them to the next level?

i think staying with moyes for that long - it is pretty obvious you aren't going anywhere except the same old top 7 finishes and never playing in the CL.

US soccer would most defintely be helped the more of its players play at top clubs in the cl - are you arguing that wouldn't be true?

If the Americans found themselves some footballers to go alongside this team of athletes they could become a real force.

De Bruyne, is he like Darron Gibson. He is too greedy with those shots. Mind, that pass from Kompany to De Bruyne was pure class.
