Day 19: Argentina vs. Switzerland

Why are they lumping it? They've got little physical presence in attack.

Argentina have been the luckiest team in the entire tournament in terms of having an easy passage. If Belgium beat USA. then their FIRST tricky game will come in the QF and once at that stage, it's really anyones tournament

Tevez is definitely better than any of the Argentine players bar Messi. He will add so much bite and aggression to the team but I heard he was dropped cause he would disrupt the team, just like how Deschamps dropped Nasri.

Team lacks his personality.

Rodriguez is thick. If they had scored from that corner, I would have said this match was fixed

Messi should be more invovled in the play to create something. He plays too static.

Nobody seemed to realize apart from Rodriguez that it was going out for a corner anyway. Wasn't an Argentine player who played it out.

It was a mistake to leave him out. Despite his complexities, he would bring them an old school Argie cut and thrust that they've lacked.

How many times have we seen Argentina playing so poorly only to score from a moment of brilliance from Messi? However if Switzerland scores first, they will most likely park the bus.

According to (quite reputable) german paper FAZ Tevez was dropped because Messi gave the coach the "him or me". It is also hinted that nice, calm, modest little Messi was also instrumental in Villas, Eto'os, Krkics and Zlatans removal from Barca.

Di Maria really needs to get his head out his ass and stop chasing personal glory. He was like this in their last game too, always dribbling into trouble, shooting.

Shaqiri needs to move out of Munich. He seems to have so much potential and pretty bad decision making which can only improve by playing more often

But why exactly? What did Tevez do to piss off Messi? Really selfish of Messi if this is true but I still don't understand how is Tevez disrupting the dressing room. I know he had his fair share of controversy at Man City but that was in the past and he has reformed at Juventus. I also remember a quote by Maradona:

My team is Tevez and ten more players, you can’t leave out the player of the Argentine people

I wish Xhaka, Boumsong and Lukaku were in the same team... then you know what the headlines could have said!

Damn I didn't realize how jacked Shaqiri is, looks like he could play american football or rugby.

Won't be surprised if Argentina goes out this or the next round if they continue playing like this.

Xhaka always picks up needless yellows...

man Rodriguez is real class

ill be very surprised if he isnt bought by a big team this summer
