Have you seen Barcelona winning anything lately?

Thought so.

Not sure why your laughing, Algeria are stringing as many passes together as Germany, the difference is that Algeria are moving the ball around between players quicker and moving off the ball more effectively. What is happening in this game is not direct football, its ball speed. Ball speed meaning the transition of the ball from player to player or 1 and 2 touch football mixed with quick dribbles. Still the same amount of passes being used by both sides though.

Why are Algeria so fast paced and direct? Something's not right.

Klose, Draxler and Khedira warming up, so maybe you get your wish.

Klopp must be face palming so hard right now in Germany.

Forget Klopp...everyone with half a brain knows Löw's tactical set up has been appalingly shit since the second game.

Because they have really good ball control, they receive the ball in a manner than means they can go forward or create space for their next passes. Also they have the whole "third man running" thing going well.

If Germany gets knocked out by Algeria, can this be regarded as the biggest upset in the history of the World Cup? Me think so.

It hurts so much to see Lahm wasted behind the strikers. Does he even see the ball at all?

Also miss the sense of safety on the wing originating from him playing as FB SO MUCH.

Was more aimed towards the fact that his two best Full backs of the last season are getting no chance.

The Algeria coach watched the Euro 2012 semi final, and they're executing it perfectly. Luck and lack of skill is the only thing preventing this from being 2-0.

Problem is they didn't score, and now the legs aren't as fresh. It's a bit of an all in tactic in that sense.

Kroos playing about as badly as I have ever seen from him.

Cue something amazing now I've said that.

Even Müller acting weird now. Have our players been fasting collectively?

Its time for germany to bite the bullet and put Lahm back in his natural fullback position and put a real defensive midfielder in there, What brad friedel said in studio is happening, he is pushing too high up the pitch and leaving the pretty immobile central defenders to be out paced.
Why is that anyway? Doesn't Germany have any decent midfielders then? Low is coach, not Guardiola...

ITV sound utterly desperate for an upset here. Tyldsley almost climaxing every time Algeria get into Germany's half!

Özil best and least nervous/most ballsy player so far. Now that's rare.

I still think Germany's problems come mainly from the midfield. All 3 players are too slow and all do more or less the same thing.

Gündogan, Bender, and the other Bender out injured.

Schweinsteiger and Khedira weren't really fit going into the tournament.
