Day 18: Croatia vs Brazil | Netherlands vs Argentina (QF 1&2)

Danilo lucky he didn't catch him with the high boot...would have been sent off

Don't care if he didn't made contact, I'm pretty sure a lot of refs would have given red there

People hype their attack but defence is their biggest strength.

It helps that Croatia are always great at everything except attacking.
Yeah, quite unusual for Brazil but it's very noticeable in this tournament.

Who can dislike Modric?

I do.

Nothing personal though. I just think he's a bit overrated. He's getting the Pirlo treatment. Pirlo was always brilliant but then in his mid 30s suddenly everyone just couldn't get enough of him and he was getting put into conversations with guys like Xavi and Iniesta despite clearly not being at that level. Same thing with Modric.

For example, look at the post you're quoting. Class in every move apparently. Does that exclude the terrible pass he played straight to a Brazil player earlier in the game, who, if his touch wasn't so bad, would've been through on goal with numbers in support?

Juranovic has been causing problems for Brazil, Danilo lucky to get away with a yellow there.

I may be biased, but when I see a yellow for that, I can't help to feel low-key anger for the Nani-Real Madrid decision

In terms of football ability, I really like Neymar and what he can do with the ball.

Yeah is that like a thing from now on? First time seeing it

It's so players can now offer to swap shirts with refs after the game now and will know whose shirt belongs to who.

Man if only Croatia had an attack. They do everything so well as a unit but offer nothing in attack.
