Great for Croatia, great for all the other teams, Croatia have nerves of steel.

Thinking the winner is coming out of the England-France game.

Yeah, I like Modric and all but that team is just boring to watch. I'm not even a Brazil fan (like them more than usual because of our 3) but if they're in a matchup its somewhat exciting.
 
steely from croatia. I was rude about them in the first week. still think they can get things very wrong on a poor day. but never looked like missing their pens

Can't help but laugh at Neymar. Well ground out by Croatia to force it to penalties, and then clinical in the shoot out. Feel for our Brazilians, but on the bright side now they get a bit of a rest before our games start again.

Exactly mate. In international football you have to look at resources. Its why, even though they have never reached a World Cup QF that Ireland are currently amazing in rugby. A tiny population that can consistently beat the likes of France and England, even though its our 3rd or 4th most played sport. Fair play to Croatia, they have always overachieved with this team.
 
If Croatia had a proper striker and a teeny bit of pace, they’d be an awesome side. That midfield and now defence is formidable.
 
Brazil acted like it was over after the first extra time....they paid dearly for it in the second ET and penalties

I know people will talk about Croatia being lucky but I'm not seeing that; they beat Brazil on possession and pretty much bossed the midfield in the same way they did against England 4 years ago. They have a plan and they stick to it and it works.

Modric is a fecking monster of a player and him Kovacic can dominate just about any midfield.
