David Moyes West Ham Manager | Gone (pedantic sod Sarni)

Wasn't guaranteed to fail at Sociadad. Didn't bother to adapt to the league, or learn the language, and his successor managed to get the team up the table, clinching 6th following year.

Hold your horses there. He learned at least dos, tres, cuatro words.

Still can't believe he managed us.
We're I'm at.
I still can't get myself round the turn of events that led Moyes to managing Man Utd.
We need a second from disaster episode to unpick what was truly a catastrophic decision.

I hope it gets worse for him. this is for "we aspire to be like city and liverpool are favourites at old trafford" you cnut.

The amount of satisfaction I get from his failure worries me.

Same . One thing was the dire football, the shit results and his defeatist and embarrassing comments when he was here, but his snide little digs and bitter comments after he got sacked really made me hate him.

Like what the feck does he expect? He took the league champions and made them into a joke in less than a year

I'd like to say that relegating West Ham should be the end of his career in the top flight, but considering that the likes of Pardew, Allardyce and Pulis keep landing jobs it'd only be a matter of time before some relegation-threatened club signed him up.

And the subsequent attempts to use LVG and Jose's struggles to justify himself.
What made me hate him the most, when he started throwing Fergie under the bus.

Yes I'm serious. If you hate him then you hate the board and Ferguson. They were as much to blame. If you hire Bob the baker with 2 successful businesses to run Microsoft then you can't hate Bob for giving it a go.
Whats fecking wrong in blaming Ferguson for hiring Moyes? Board wouldnt have hired him if it wasnt for Fergie. He dropped a clanger there. Everyone knows it.

I thought after the start he got they would breeze by the relegation spots but with the honeymoon period over the results have been quite poor for a while now

I'm sure it's not Davids fault there must be someone or something to blame other than Moyes

Hey, any Moyes apologists left?

Roll back 15 pages or so. They are there, just keeping quiet.

His start was dreadful. They only really had a good run of 3-4 games a couple months prior when his media buddies went nuts over it. He’s been losing left right and centre most of the time there.

I just still can't believe people actually wanted to give him more time, the damage that one season has caused yet people wanted him to be given more time!!!

Hehe...same here.

I am not malicious and wish ill on nobody - especially on someone who hasn't done anything personally to me.
But Moyes...that guy brings feelings of hatred out in me, that I have towards nobody else on this planet.

Those people have long since checked into their local mental institutions.
This occurred shortly after dozens of these Moyes supporters inexplicably sent money to Nigeria, in the belief that they had won a lottery, which they didn't know they had entered. :p

I always remember this BBC clip asking supporters about him after the plane banner: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/26803282 (have to visit the site, can't link it)

"Needs money"

"We support him"

Fecking idiots.

"Guaranteed to fail" is a complete and utter pile of horse shit.
He had a good team at Sociedad and had them plummeting towards relegation. There is no way he should have failed there. It is more about him that he failed not the club. Sunderland yes, they are a mess.

Anyone else thinks he may have been used as a possible fall guy?

I think they possibly took a punt on him knowing the man following Sir Alex would struggle no matter what. If they'd gone straight in with a Mourinho he'd possibly struggle as well, at least with Moyes it would be easier to part company due to his lack of past record.

As for his current plight at West Ham, he's only got himself to blame for taking on such a poisoned chalice.

He forced Rio/Vidic to watch Jagielka's videos !! It's a football crime in my eyes!!

Can't believe he actually did it !!

Next season is the final season of his 6 year plan at Utd. You can imagine the TV interview after today's table topping bore draw League One clash at home to Shrewsbury had we stuck by him...
'So David, despite the riots from the home fans because you haven't resigned yet and the impending bankruptcy of the club, are you surprised that someone hasn't bludgeoned you with a blunt object yet?'

Camera zooms in on rabbit-in-headlights delusional gaze - 'Look the players I inherited at this club were nah even good enough for a Sunday Pub League, I've worked miracles since I arrived and the season will have been a major success if we can finish in the play-off places in League One.'

He took a job knowing it was shit and would give him a nice payout for a few months work. Screw him.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer club

Has he really taken a job knowing it could be the final nail in his career coffin.

Who's going to touch him now?

I never understand this logic.

Even if the top coach failed after SAF, it would still leave us in much better position going forward as the team still keeps some structure. Moyes basically blew the whole thing up making the club as a whole looks like a joke (transfer dealings, look up to other teams comment, tactics, squad management, downplay SAF, contract length...). Those are things that is worse than the result itself. I meant if it were the plan, they would have limited his power while having a DoF figure in shadow overwatch thing. Here I doubt anyone can argue Moyes had full reign over the club just as our other managers.

Trouble is that he’s always overestimated his managerial skills. Just because he kept Everton at a level of mediocrity that they have never failed to rise above, he was a genius.

The sadder thing is, some low level team in the Championship will give him a job because he has ‘credentials.’

Nope Ferguson just chose poorly and for the wrong reasons.

Can see West Ham losing 5 of their last 8 (home to the Manchester clubs and aways to Leicester, Arsenal and Chelsea).

7 points from Southampton, Stoke and Everton would probably keep them up though.

That's not true. I think rio came out and confirmed it as a myth

And a loss to Southampton or Stoke could be the final nail in the coffin.
