David Moyes Unemployed | European Champion

I thought we dealt with their attacks well (apart from the handball)

Would have been interesting if we weren't tired. Looked like we had 4 or 5 of our top 6 tired

Moyes minimum requirement as United manager was to finish at least 4th with a team that won the previous league in April.

Requirement wasn't reached and he was sacked when it was officially known United could not finish 4th.

We played poorly because we were tired. West Ham played poorly because Moyes was incompetent. Double standards.

Forget about that. I thought we were going to win by 8 to send them down to Championship right?

So you're saying our team isn't tired and Moyes is competent?

That was caused by West Ham letting us have the ball in not so dangerous areas.
They also knew how to hurt us down the wings and could have had another from a set piece.
They got the draw that they needed so job done.

Yeah they “let” us have the ball in not so dangerous areas. With those areas being everywhere but their box which is where all their players were.

It was a real tactical master class of getting 10 men behind the ball for most of the match.

Nothing wrong with that from a relegation threatened side of course. But let’s not exaggerate what happened yesterday because we’re disappointed with the performance.

Why do you love Moyes so much, the man destroyed everything that SAF built over 25 years in the space of 6 months.
I think it's the same way as this other research I have been reading. Researchers have shown that some females are into fantasy beings like werewolves and vampires, even if they are not real and if they are they must be smelly and dirty.

Sometimes you look at something and find it really weird that your brain actually focuses on and/or gets attached to it. You want more because it's not normal and not boring. Over time this weirdness becomes 'normal' in a way that you don't find it weird anymore but fascinating because it's different and there's nothing else like it. It then begins to create an entertainment for your brain and gives you joy and happiness, helped by the fact that it is not real so you start to create all sort of fantasies with it.

Moyes to some ManUnited supporters is similar to werewolves and vampires to some females.

This has to be the single most bizarre post I have ever read about David Moyes. Well done.

I didn't like him managing us of course. I just find it funny how everyone are jumping on him after his failure here.
So I defend him a bit extra here. I don't think he ruined everything. It was one bad season and I don't think the background staff were everything. Still stupid to fire them though.

Regarding Moyes he has done a good job for West Ham twice now. Did a horror job with Sunderland though. It is his level at West Ham or Everton.

So his point is that we have sexual fantasies about David Moyes football? 80 crosses fantasy?
Hoof it to Fellaini etc?

I feel nothing towards Moyes and not sure why some people have a bizarre obsession with him. I think he's a competent manager at a mid/lower table club. He won't play exciting football, he won't win you anything but he'll usually run a steady ship and keep you up if that's the height of your ambition.

It was mind boggling that anyone thought he was the right fit for us but I don't blame him for the (clubs) fall from grace afterwards either. That was coming when SAF left regardless.

Oh and it's more than funny to hear him wittering on about time as well. He deserved no more than he got.

I agree.

I thought the reaction at OT in his first game back with Sunderland summed it up. Nobody gave a feck. Nobody thought he was a toxic cnut like Mourinho and deserved booing and likewise nobody thought he did anywhere enough to warrant getting clapped. He was just ignored, like any try hard manager who was out of their depth and did a shite job should be.

Why people bother with him seven years on is a mystery. Who cares? A club like West Ham is where he belongs, it's just unfortunate that we're the club that made the mistake of hiring him to prove that. No doubt if we didn't, Arsenal or Spurs would have at some point anyway.

Same here. I too don't think Moyes will bring us success even he's given time, but I hate to see people being unfair and putting all the blame on him. They always talked about the champion team without acknowledging the limitation of the squad, and they somehow ignored the fact that Vidic, Ferdinand and Evra had been clearly on the decline. The more annoying thing is that they hold a grudge towards him and fail to give him a fair assessment for his work at West Ham. Just scroll a few pages back and you'll see.

He’s done ok at West Ham - not great but enough to show he’s not completely spent as a lower half PL manager. He would get more sympathy from me if he stopped going on about his time at United and needing more time. I don’t expect him to admit publicly that he was horribly out of his depth but, 6 years on, he could at least stop taking the bait from journalists and change the subject.

I, too, look at Moyes and feel nothing. I miss Van Gaal more than him, hell maybe even Fellaini.

Looking back on it now, it seems absolutely amazing that we hired him. Not quite insane, but along that track. I know at the time it was about giving a proven British Premier League manager a chance, but there's no way that a top club now would do something similar to that extent. There's no way City will be calling up Allardyce tomorrow, for example.

I think he's found his level with West Ham. It's about right, in my opinion.

Why would there be a time limit on thinking someone acted and continues to act like a twat?

Moyes gets more stick on here than for example Van Gaal because of the constant shite he spouted while at United blaming everyone but himself and that he continues to spout to any journalist who’ll listen 6 years later. He still won’t admit he messed the job up, which is fair enough if only he’d shut the feck up about getting more time.

He got more time than any other big club would have gave him.

West Ham looked awful today. Is he going to get the sack first? The fixtures they got are pretty hard.
If they are bottom after 5-6 games he might be gone.

Moyes is a competent mid table manager but no more. The problem at West Ham is the owners. Terrible owners, just like ours.

Our owners have overseen one of our most successful periods the club has ever had, I'm not sure how you have confused that with the dildo brothers?

He’s probably not good enough to take them far up the table but you'd think they would give him a few players and see how he gets on with them? They should have been straight in for the likes of Lewis, Buendia, Eze, Ben Godfrey if there was any money there. They usually spend decent money but it’s on a totally weird mix of players. it looks like a club that could use a DOF setup or some kind of change of direction. It’s not been working the last few years.

David “I win”‘Moyes.

I would celebrate if he relegated West Ham. However, I don’t think he will see out the season, and he will be at a club like West Brom within the next 12 months.

Fraud.

I don’t like the man or his weird arrogance but in his defence the board have done an awful job in the transfer market. They have a pretty terrible squad that will do well to finish in the top 13

Our owners had Sir Alex. The moment he left the club has gone to shit. Ownership isn't just about spending money, it's about vision, appointing the right people and long term success.

Our owners aren't capable of this. Look at their ownership of the Tampa Bay Buccanneers if you want to know their modus operandi.

That being said, the west ham owners are a joke. Bad managers, no transfers.. It has the potential to be a big club.

I dislike Moyes but he can't win there
