Yep, and I'm pretty sure I remember reading the highlighted part was a part of his contract negotiation at the time. It's typical of the players these days though. Always looking to blame others for their own shortcomings.

Add to this the way he turns his body away from an attacker in a one on one situation and you'd come to the conclusion he's a complete shithouse. He's afraid to do anything outside of standing on his line and inviting shots.

The issue is we didn't need stats to know this as united fans

We've seen it, pretty much from when he came and it gets worse rather than improving. It's all been said before but even if you forget the whole modern keeper part about him, it's the aspects of being an old school keeper or just a goalkeeper in general
Take away shot stopping and his attributes compared to a top goalkeeper become highlighted even more
