Agree, all the blame on Maguire, he cleared alot of corners from the other side. If we are to look at that picture properly, the CB outjumps Martial, McTominay and Matic.

Everyone is laughing at Maguire but is he to come push out matic as well, the ball was fizzed with pace in the area not lobbed in where our defenders had time.

In those three years we were absolute garbage.
He was the best of a bad bunch, now he's one of the worst of a potentially good bunch.

Luke Shaw won the award last year so should we now make him the highest paid player in the league?

that logic would only work if he wasn’t also honoured by the league as well

Really needed a performance like that, vintage de Gea. Having him back in form would be a colossal asset going forward.
 
Maybe his ex coach's comments lit a fire under him. Great commanding performance
 
He made saves you'd expect him to make, nothing really spectacular just did his job
 
I’ve slated him a lot this season but he was back to his best today! Long may it continue. :D
 
He deserves credit when he does well. Since we slaughter him when he's poor we have to praise him when's good.

Kept us in the game tonight. The save from the FK at the end of first half was great.
 
Looked back to his best tonight, several really good saves and good distribution to ice the cake.
 
Credit where it's due. Taken some stick recently but was solid tonight. More of the same please.

that move was very weird, it slipped by matic and for a while maguire looked favourite. both times it didn't look like there was any danger at all. not sure anyone except neuer and maybe ederson would have come out for it.
 
Hopefully he gets more confidence from tonight and cuts out the mistakes. His reflexes are still world class.
 
Top performance today.

Mad stat - since Fergie retired, DDG has only missed 10 Utd league games. He's played in 254 out of 264 games, and will almost certainly play in the remaining 2 this season. Consistent.
 
Zaha shot towards the end was similar to Spurs goal. Good save that!

Good game from him.
 


Considering the dross he played with for 7 years, it's a great achievement
