Many Benfica fans last year were warning that his big goal scoring season was a bit of an anomaly compared to his normal level of finishing, which was the main reason I was wary of him when we were so heavily linked.
Nunez is playing as a striker whereas Rashford has been predominantly playing on the wings.
He has a lot of great attributes but he really does waste an awful lot of guilt edged chances. Long may it continue
Rashford is rinsing players while playing himself back in form after last year. Apart from Newcastle he hasnt fallen into the bad habit of missing easy chances.
It’s like people pretend we can’t see Nunez playing football. It’s Lukaku all over again, we are consistent with this type of player.
Plus Rashford more of an inside beside forward anyway, it’s like saying you’d take Nunez over Diaz or something ridiculous.

Nunez has started to play from the left as well but position is irrelevant. The question is whether United would take him, and right now he doesn’t seem to be any worse than your current striking options.
Rashford looks good now but he’s had a very up and down career and is two years older. From what I’ve read on here, he can frustrate with his decision making in the final third.
Martial is injury prone and you don’t really have anyone else. I’m not sure what your chance creation is like compared to ours but ETH seems to have you trying to play on the front foot and creating chances. Nunez would probably get a decent number of chances at United.
The problem with Nunez is what you’ve paid for him.
Not being ‘any worse’ than what we’ve got isn’t acceptable for 100 million euros.

It’s mad every time he gets on the ball I relax and think “I’m going to feel like an idiot when he scores” but then I don’t.
He is so funny to watch. Of course he will score goals but I find him so funny. Lukaku seems a lazy comparison but there is definitely some similarities there.

He has to hit a run of form and bag a bucket load goals surely? He's getting 5 chances a game, he can't be that bad in front of goal that he doesn't start scoring

Liverpool create far more chances than United. I bet if you looked further into the stats you see a far higher goal to shot ratio in Rashfords favour.
He’s proof that 100m doesn’t get you much these days, especially when it comes to strikers. He will clearly get goals because his movement is excellent, but holy shit, he’s unbelievably poor technically.
Well he does have a point, it's hard to have a trait of being in the right place to get the chances than it is to finish. You can spend time training that no problem but trying to practice position would seem like a mental thing. You either have it or you don't.Yet he rates Donkey Kong

Gakpo has exactly that and he’s arguably a better finisher and will cost 50m less..

Very true, although i don’t think that’s proof you need to spend more or the market has shifted. Just poor scouting and overpaying.

Maybe, and it's my new theory, the club and Klopp knew an oil country was taking us over last summer. So splash the money and if it doesn't work out he can be our Grealish on the bench. We'll just spend loads again soon, when we officially get taken over.
