Watched it on delay...Thought the first match was good, but hell MVG-RVB. Harsh scoreline on Barney. He was superb but MVG wow.

I despise Taylor, but MVG wouldn't be throwing 110 averages if it wasn't for Taylor. He raised the bar stupidly high and MVG has just improved it. In the future someone will come along and do the same to MVG.
It's only been raised recently though. Taylor was winning most of his titles v Part / Manley / bottler RVB etc.
As much as Taylor dominated, he wouldn't be a 16 time world champ if MVG was around imo.

Haven't seen any of his games this year bar this one. I think he's struggled a bit after he got the lead but when MVG is playing like he is this tournament, I don't think there's much you can do except for make all your important throws, which Anderson doesn't seem to do today.
I only watch this tournament and even then only the semis and final so my knowledge is very limited!
Ando is struggling with his first dart today, which he always depends on to be a marker for his other two throws. Notwithstanding the fact that MvG is just a beast.
