Phil's records are just obscenely out of reach, even for a 17 year old imo. The talent pool is just far too deep and ever growing with the money on show, it's essentially why MvG isn't at like 8. You didn't get players of the standard he's lost too before the semi's for the first, maybe 20 years of the PDC.

Littler is already on his way to going past MvG though in a realistic comparison
Yep. Taylor was essentially the equivalent of Madrid winning 5 European cups in a row in the fifties.

MVG loves the ‘B’’ word doesn’t he. Is that a Dutch thing or something?

I think the Dutch just aren’t bothered about swear words. Van Der Sar, Van Der vaart, Ten Hag, they all swore on tv then looked dumbfounded when the English presenter fumbled an apology

He’s still the goat, but the standard back then was nowhere near what it is now.
aye. taylor was decent and was the first to realise that 15 pints of carling probably didn’t help you win a match. would have been great to see him with the current crop of players, but he doesn’t win 14 world championships against them.

Think he's alluding to the slander of Madrid!

Taylor's an utter legend, that consistently is insane, and the fact he's also part of the 3 of the 4 7-6 finals, he was made of granite stuff in every sense. But I'm not buying he wins 8 on the bounce in the talent was as deep as today because the first to 3/4 allows a hot hand to pull a win, but probably 6 of those 8 still

Emphatic. Heard stories about Taylor wanting to coach him. That's the last thing he needs he should keep doing his own thing.

I always assumed Littler would’ve beaten most of these at 15 but just wasn’t allowed to enter until last year. Is there a minimum age limit?
He played in the WDF world championship (formally BDO) at 15, he lost to Richard Veenstra 3-0 (veenstra averarged 105)

Chris Hoy out there not giving a feck about his illness, just loving life. Gotta love it.

The whole media BS is ridiculous, just let him celebrate and do the media bollocks tomorrow. Going on like its a proper photoshoot.

He was 5 when United last won the league. I doubt he even remembers us being good, which is nuts.
He done one of those better player stays on things for United. First was Neville and Keane, he went Neville
Anyway fair play to the kid, fecking unbelievable achievement and the biggest thing he’s already proved it’s not a flash in the pan.

Luke looks like he just wants to get off the stage now and munch into his post-match kebab rather than do all this media photoshoot BS
