Yes, this is an absurd drop in form, but it's been obvious he's not a fan of Littler's rise all year, and he's not nicey nice about it like most of the others... and unsurprisingly, the pressure got to him not Littler.

He’s been pretty bad by his own standards all year. And generally in decline for over half a decade. He can still put a run together every so often to make the odd major final or so as he’s done here, but he’s miles off Littler and Humphries.

Mad to think Van Gerwen is youngest world champion at 25. If littler wins it tonight, that won’t be beaten in his lifetime imo.
Probably nothing outlandish, maybe minor things here and there but it's just painfully obvious when they play. Don't forget this is a guy that sat at the top alone for nearly 10 years as the guy when the game exploded for even further (Phil sat alone for 20 years tbf)... so even when he lost, it wasn't that big of an issue, but Littler's just come and pushed him aside in no time on that mantle.
darts is for kids now and not alcoholics. it’s popular and there’s enough money in it these days. i’d wager the standard goes crazy over the next 20 years.
As an aside - how “marketable” do you think Littler is?? He’s obviously the darts poster boy, but could he get an adidas / Nike sponsorship for his shirts?? Wonder whether any of the big brands will fancy dipping into it, or is it just too niche a market?
