His current goals per minute average is one every 7 minutes. That's better than Pele, Maradonna, Ronaldo and Messi combined.

This is getting tedious. We were absolutely right to sell him.

Yeah, one goal against an exhausted 10-man surprise package doesn't prove anything.

Letting Welbeck go wasn't the problem. Chicharito was, but he wanted away.

Not replacing either of Welbeck, Chicharito, van Persie or Falcao with a quality striker, though..

Every goal he scores will be used against LvG. Just like the Chicharito goals. We let them go for Falcao.

This. fecking ridiulous the amount of crying that occurred here last season every time Welbeck scored a goal.
We were right to sell him. He'll get injured again soon enough probably. Martial is thrice the player Welbeck is.

Fack off! Why you not let us piecefully die in our misery. You no care for us anymore.

Apart from Martial, are any of our wingers/strikers better then Welbeck?

He and Hernandez weren't mistakes, Chic got found out here, nothing wrong with that, he's good at what he does but he'll eventually get found out in Germany too plus his style was not suited to us.

He supposedly wanted out before Van Gaal arrived. But it doesn't fit the current narrative.

Was so pleased for him today. Definitely shouldn't have sold him. He's far better than fecking lingard or depay.

I'd say the majority of them. If you ask that question a few months down the line, then I think we could get into a good debate about it. Alas, Welbeck has just returned and scored against a tired 10 man Leicester. It's impossible to say whether he's actually better than our strikers/wingers. Last season he scored how many goals? 4? He still played like bambi and his decision making is still as inconsistent as it was for us.

Memphis irritates the hell out of me, but his ceiling is so much higher than Welbeck's.

We'll see what kind of run Welbeck can go on now for this season.

The style of scoring goals?

You're not wrong to be fair.

Should still be here. Absolutely brilliant player. Contributed massively to arsenals success now.

Good on you Danny. Such a shame you were sold.

Pleased for the lad. Horrible injuries have ruined him this past season.

Academy local lad

Played really well for us for years

Was discarded too quickly instead of being given a chance to grow

Lovely to watch play.
He was rightfully sold. A squad player that didn't want to be here. Can't keep those players at the club.

Plenty of other academy players that people aren't pleased for, like the 2 that lost due to Welbeck's goal.

Ironically, their is so many ex United players who are currently playing that would easily get into our team. Welbeck is one of them. Heck, with the way Cleverley is playing he could also get in this team after quarter of a billion pound paid to change this team.

Says more about the lack of good investments than it does about the players we sold.

He didn't want to be here because his place in the team was taken up by Falcao.

Awful awful decision.

His place on the bench was taken up by Falcao? No, he was always a squad player and will never be anything more at a top club. He wanted out before Falcao came because he was never going to usurp Rooney.

He'd be a starter for us if he was fit this year.
