It’s funny but Lampard was the third Chelsea manager who had no interest in playing Drinkwater. At what point are you going to take responsibility for just being shite?

Man United youth product. I blame you lot for him.

He needs to have a look at himself. Conte, Sarri and Lampard did not like him. Then you have his disastrous loan spells under Dyche and Smith. So he has failed under five managers, which is some feat.

I still have no idea why they signed him, he's been the definition of average his entire career. £40m he cost, that's absurd.

Didn’t realise he was at a really poor Turkish team. From league winner to relegation battles in Turkey

The way his career has crashed and burned should be a warning to others, don’t just chase the money...

Thank god he did though or we may not have Tielemans

And he’s still got more PL medals than StevieG :)

No matter who's the next manager he won't play a single minute in Chelsea, funny he seems to blame Lampard for his poor level somehow.

Just another in a line of decent players that should never have gone anywhere near Chelsea.. a bit like us really.

It's funny reading about his antics, as looking at him I'd have said he was a very sensible sort of person.

Being allowed to play in a midfield with Kanté must have been the luckiest thing ever happening to him. He was a average Premier League midfielder at best but managed to be signed by Chelsea.

We spent £90M on this guy and Bakayoko in the same summer.

Probably the most recent united academy graduate to have won the PL
Thought no chance but think youre right, along with Simpson whilst Tom Lawrence and Matty James were also in the squad. Ritchie De Laet aswell.

He must have earned at least £50m during his playing days? How someone blows through that kind of cash is crazy.

Blew a bunch on a failed restaurant enterprise apparently.

He says he's doing construction out of choice though, so maybe this is just his way of getting some normality after the madness of football? He had mental health trouble while playing if I recall.
