Danny Drinkwater

Hope he gets back to playing, as I know he's a player thirsty for success, I'll get me coat......

I actually know a couple of Leicester fans that wanted us to buy Drinkwater back this past summer

Looked like a player who's started 5 premier league games since August 2017. Only sympathy I have is when you're so far off match fitness as he obviously is then Man. City or Liverpool are the last opponents you'd want to face.

Reason why he started is Marvelous Nakamba performances have fallen off a cliff since start of December. Hourihane is awful in games where opposition press aswell.

Brilliant! Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch
His contact runs till June 2022. Hard to see any other team picking that up unless he sets the world on fire at Villa which looks highly unlikely right now. I'm not sure how Chelsea will manage to move his contract.

God, did Chelsea really give him a 5 year contract?

He's always been average. Kante made him look good in the title winning season.

As f***ing useless as I feared he was going to be.

If he's now attacking team mates in training when there's a disagreement he needs some help off the pitch I suspect.

What the hell has happened to him?!
When Nigel Pearson was our manager he talked about how much of a complex character he was, I get the feeling he doesn’t particularly like football, leaving us was the biggest mistake of his career but thankfully he made it

I have known people who knew him, and one of them even said he shouldn't have gone to chelsea to his face .

Think he will need to drop down a division now. Two disastrous loan spells at Burnley and Villa. His head clearly isn’t into playing and wouldn’t surprise me if he has squandered most his money in a few years. He needs someone around him to get his head straight.

Classic example of how to derail your career after hitting some success.

What an absolute waste, only himself to blame.

Villa have had a shocker

I suspect having a scrap with a 16 year old in a U23 game wasn't in Drinkwater's plans when he left Leicester.

£35m you know.

Danny Drinkwater was an appalling signing. Absolutely abysmal.

Did the Spurs kid get sent off too? What a shocking tackle.

Some Spurs kid got sent off in the same minute. I don't know if it's the one who made the tackle.

Can't really blame Drinkwater there, little cnut probably tried to "leave one on a pro".
