Dani Alves | PSG Player

Something else to remember, Thiago is the highest paid player at 200K Euros PW, that translates to £177K PW.

That's a lot less than the £230K PW briefing that's been put out there by City.

Why do Juve have a high turnover of players. Wage structure?
Juve have a lower budget than the richest clubs, their financial power is close to BVB.

They don't have that high a turnover, they just can't always keep all their important players, but they usually do a good job replacing them so it doesn't matter.

Shows how far technology has come that one can get WiFi connectivity so far deep in Pep's ass.

Surprising that although not so much about PSG offering him incredible wages, just that City wouldn't come close. Speculation that his new fashion model of a wife preferred life in Paris over Manchester, can't fault her there

Sounds like you want to manufacture your own narrative, money talks and P$G won out

Development takes time, La Masia didn't produce world class talent for a long time after it was revamped by Cruyff in the 70s

I am not arguing the merits of the academy, just that City & their ownership have taken a distinctly different approach to building a longterm project than the Qataris

No one is quite sure what PSG are doing but City actually look like they intend to build something longterm - I would say that is the biggest difference apart from leagues.

BREAKING NEWS
: City is a poor club with modest means . A club that has never overpaid some players in terms of wages and acquisition prices. A club whose ownership can't be compared to those coming from Qatar. A club with human values

To be fair, that's not at all what he said, or implied.

Mansour is the the deputy prime minister of the UAE, minister of presidential affairs and member of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi, is the half brother of the current President of UAE, and sits on the board of The Supreme Petroleum council and countless other government owned companies boards.

Let's not pretend, that he isn't government.

Now, back on topic...

So what corroborates your theory that he's moving to Paris for the money? Or can you only make assumptions when it suits your festish?
Plus I'm pretty sure City have spent more money than PSG through the year so you're talking absoulute drivel here.

Ah yes, City, a club that spent more than any other club in the world last summer, and will probably end up spending more than any other this summer, weren't prepared to pay Alves as much as PSG. of course, that's completely believable...if you're gullible.

The actual paragraph says it all and you know it, there is one sentence about the wage and the rest is about guaranteed game time and his preference for Paris, so just stop it.

You shouldn't take FCBarca seriously: he is a troll when it comes to PSG.

Le Parisien and L'Equipe both point to Alves on same wage bracket as T.Silva & Cavani at PSG which convinced the player. Irony is many PSG fans furious with the move & wages but c'est la vie en France

PSG fans are so furious...

If I look at the thread about the signing of Dani Alves: 3 of the 5 first posts below

Still the joint most exciting fullback in the game and a top player, he's a good short time buy for PSG but a bit strange given Munier seemed to be cementing that RB spot and I doubt Alves went there to be a back up.

The idea that Man City, the team that engineered their way into the top positions through money and nothing else, could get outfinanced is glorious.

Alves has always been a cnut. Telling Dybala to leave, etc. Unfortunately, most cnuts are always winners as well.

I'd laugh at City too if it wasn't the fact that the cnut used us for a new contract previously when we went after him. Guess Pep found out the hard way.

you guys should sign him - secure your RB spot for a few more years :) (whilst Valencia is getting no younger...)

Aurier is the one who's available, and as much as I rate his talent he's been coasting the last 18 months and I'd rather not lose both him and Bailly for AFCON.

The irony of City fans lambasting a player for choosing another oil club over their own

This one really hurt the City fans hasn't it.

Pep being publically rejected by a player who according to them must surely adore his former manager, and even stringing them along for months because he cared so little about Pep or City.

Sporting wise, disappointing since Dani could've/would've added something special to City's attack - we'll see if it ends up a good move with Emery et al. Alves must've been enticed by the large Brasilian contingent in Paris too

So.ive just Google his new wife, and then his ex-wife.

He definitely traded up.

They dont have a very high turnover but finacial power close to BVB? I disagree
Staff costs 2015/2016:
- Juventus € 221 mln
- BVB: € 140 mln
- Arsenal: £ 195 mln (€ 220 mln), Liverpool £ 208 mln (€ 234 mln)

So their force to keep their best players is similar to Arsenal and Liverpool not BVB.

"They gave me a lot of money. I like to make money. We can get my bank account full by the time I am done here"

Alves publicly putting City down is by far the best tweet by a footballer this year.

Sorry Crouchy.

apparently City matched /bettered the PSG offer and he still said nah. Hilarious if true

The guys has played at the biggest clubs, winning everything there is to win. He's 34 now, who the feck would pick Manchester over Paris?

ZLATAN.

Never liked Alves until today. I now think he's the best right back in the world of the last 10 years. How was I so blind...? :wenger:
