Cycling 2015 thread.

And Martin is out. Not a game changer in the grand scheme of the yellow jersey - he wasn't going to win it - but still a shame.

Incredible bad luck following the Maillot Jaune this time around. Two of it's owners have crashed so badly they had to abandon.

Sadly true, although watching it happen it seemed that he (Martin) fell into the rider to his right causing the crash. Froome could quite easily have fallen against the kerb during the cobble stage too. I wonder what lays in store for the rest of the tour.....!

AG2R take the win, although Dan Martin should have been wiser to the move, and really was disappointed with 2nd. Van Gardaren looks poised and I have a feeling he could make the podium this year....

Missed todays stage, anything noteworthy?

A fairly inoocuous stage with the last 2km climb causing some minor time gaps. Nibli lost 10secs, but Quintana and Bertie stayed with Froome who was guided expertly again by Thomas as was Van Garderen and his BMC guys who were pretty mucj atthe head of the Peleton throughout. Sets up the TTT nicely for tomorrow....Can't wait for the real GC showdowns which loom large in a couple of days.....

Cheers mate. Seems the Team Time Trial might make some room for a bit of progress in the tables, but the tour will be decided in the mountains I think.

That is for sure, but it could be make or break for Quintana if he loses up tp a minute on a hilly parcours. Could see TJ in yellow tomorrow. I'd like a bit more of a gap to Alberto from Froomies point of view though, lets see if Sky can do the business.....

Sky is on fire this team Time Trial. Breathing in the neck of Tejay and BMC, don't think the yellow will go to TJ today.

Edit: No! BMC takes the win with 1 second difference. Nicely done by BMC!
